Hutchinson looks so out of his depth 17:08 - Oct 19 with 4617 viewsBlibbiBlob1976

Reading the criticisms of so many other players, I’m surprised that Hutch is not coming in for more criticism. He looks seriously out of his depth. Weak and continually loses possession. Has done all season. Not a good use of £20m imho

So, so poor

Have you not watched the last 20 minutes? He's a different player when we put him out on the right. Better than Burns or Ogbene for sure.

Problem is, if he isn't in the middle, who is?

If losing possession 95pc of the time is a good contribution, then I agree. He is far too lightweight for this level

He's very talented but does have a tendency to hold the ball too long and not play the obvious pass

He looks so much better on the right, he may end up a no. 10 but that experiment has to stop

Better than Burns and Ogbene is damning by faint praise. He is v weak. He just cannot beat his man

Sure thing, Jan. Didn’t beat his man once. Lost possession every time, except two deflections for corners

He is not immune from criticism. What he is though is a very young player finding his way in the game and one that made rapid strides last year. This year he is basically playing in new team that is quite frankly disjointed and poor at the moment.

I’ve seen most of his home games this season (not today) and last. He’s a smashing player and he will turn into a fantastic player within a couple of years for a team far better than ours.

He like the rest of them need support not sweeping judgements, even if you like us all have the right to offer an opinion.

Hutch looks fine on the right. Burns looks out of his depth for sure. Looks like he has no belief at this level. Phillips was dreadful.

You really think so? If you want to keep possssion don’t give it to Hutchinson. Extraordinarily poor

The player who scored 30 goals last season from that position maybe Szmodics - or chaplain - or Taylor worth a shot

Seriously just go for a walk. We are going to have plenty of difficult to swallow defeats this season. It's an incredibly difficult division. Let's not start throwing out talent under the bus.

Even if we don't survive we are going to need these players. We've come this far probably too quick and it's tough.

One of best in each game we've played so far.

Burns is a serious weak link on the opposite side.

Overall the problem is every mistake in this league is going to hurt you. We made so many mistakes today. The most comfortable win Everton will get this season.

I think we should try Szmodics or Chaplin. Even in that brief cameo, Chaplin can still read the game well and links well with people.

Szmodics could be as well, but I don't know how similar his play with Blackburn translates to us.

Taylor I think pushes Phillips out for me. Phillips just isn't quite doing it the last couple of games.

I’ll go mow the lawn! If he was going to be the top player so many think he will be, then at 20 years old he would be performing at a much higher level than this
