Why do you ignore anything positive they're doing and only concentrate on the simplistic headline costs (whilst ignoring the potential benefits)? We've had 14 years of decline and disinvestment leading to a massive increase in NHS waiting lists, itself leading to record numbers of people unable to work. Crumbling school buildings that can't be used. Large increases in family and child poverty, with some kids turning up at school every day hungry because their families can't afford breakfast. A housing crisis, including one of the worse rental sectors in europe. A justice and prison crisis. People struggling to make ends meet as they are messed around in the gig economy where they had no rights to any form of normal employee benefits. A broken higher education system. A backward looking energy approach that was reverting to granting licences for coal mining and more oil and gas drilling. Rivers and beaches plagued by raw sewage. Underperforming public transport links with rubbish private bus operators closing routes left, right and centre and one of the worse rail networks in Europe.
That's all been getting worse for the last 14 years and longer. Yet on all the above there have already been policies announced and/or laws passed that improve matters in every single case. We could argue that they're not doing enough quickly enough, but there's been positive movement in pretty much every area that desperately needs fixing.
I don't even like them, but it's clear to see they doing much to try and fix things and are an improvement so far on the last 14 years.
