Do any of you like the nickname or use the term when talking about our club? I’ve never liked it but it’s only now that we’re back in the premier league and feature more prominently in the national media that it’s really starting to grate.

He should be banned shouldn’t he? As should anyone who likes the Tractor boys thing. And jailed. For life. Scum.

....if I see him on Saturday.

If I can find them though, eh?

Eh!?

You've got to be a pretty sensitive soul to hate a nickname.

As others have said, I like how we took what was perceived to be a negative and turned it around. And I like that it came about naturally, as a proper nickname should, not some marketing bullsh!t foisted upon us like 'The Tricky Trees'.

And there's no evidence players haven't signed because of it.

Except Lionel Messi who said, "No quiero jugar en un club que se llama el Tractor Boys"

I've never used it or liked it but I guess we're stuck with it now.

I am sure that it’s origins were as an ironic retort for when we scored against big clubs…then the media got hold of it…..

The first time I heard it at Portman Road was from Everton fans. I suspect this may have been before the Birmingham away match.

Anyhow, modern tractors are amazingly technically sophisticated machines so it is definitely a compliment.

I like “The Tractor Boys”. It’s unique and now more than ever we should support our farming community for whom I have as much admiration as for my team. “Super Blues” is non specific, uninspiring and unimaginative. And we gained indelible kudos when ‘He who shall not be named’ on Match of The Day once stated “You can never write off The Tractor Boys”! I’m proud of our name.

I must admit, I like it. I think it uniquely identifies us, unlike any of the other Blue references. Yes, we might get patronised a bit, but to be honest, we're getting that whatever nickname we have.

….and definitely not me!

But, I guess it’s good for the new generation and obviously the kids love it.

Probably makes us plenty in merch.

Luckily the mainstay is still “Come on Town!!” and not “Come on The Tractorboys!!”

That would be a step too far.

I would go so far as to suggest that anyone shouting ‘come on you tractor boys’ at a match would probably be wearing a half and half scarf and asking for directions to the town centre afterwards.

The mere suggestion that I could find myself sitting next to this person at PR makes my skin crawl.
