Is it just our intensity that seems to make us more susceptible to muscle injuries? Or could there be another/no particular reason?

Why, though? Playing less games. Must be the intensity.

It didn’t look good. Huge blow if he’s out, we really need to hope Johnson can get fit and take his chance because Harry Clarke is way off it at this level.

If Johnson isn't back, will we go with Clarke or O'Shea at right back? Not a question McKenna would have wanted to answer... again.

They have. Trouble is it’s all long term stuff - muscle/ ligament injuries in the main, bar Tuanzebe trying to saw his own thumb off. They’re no doubt looking at why this season so many compared to last.

His injury if it is as reported is really bad news for us. But there it is.

Poor day all round.

Generally not a fan of square pegs in round holes but I probably would move O’Shea out there and bring Woolfy in. Far from ideal, but probably the least worst option.

I thought McKenna said in his post-match interview on Radio Suffolk said that both Johnson and Phillips may not be available until the Bournemouth game.

I just think you bring Clarke in. We clearly aren't looking to break up Burgess and O'Shea atm, and we do miss Clarke as an outlet.

Tuanzebe has been exceptional this season against some very good opposing players.

It's no coincidence our blip at the start of October coincided with his absence.

We will miss him hugely. At Tottenham, Johnson showed he can perform at this level.

Harry Clarke is still a way off in my opinion.

I don't think you can play H Clarke. He wasn't amazing in the championship so difficult to expect him to be great in this one. His passing really let's him down aswell.

a niche perspective

Yeah his passing was terrible when he came on yesterday. I remember one aimless punt forward in particular, which went straight to the goal keeper when he was under very little pressure.

I think its all the intentesity and running that unfortunately cause so many injuries. We are down ASAP team that runs the most plus we counter attack at pace ..cant be good for the body

The other option would be to bring Woolfenden at right back, to keep the centre back pairing together. But we'd have the same issues as with O'Shea, plus Woolfenden lacks a touch of pace.

The best result would be either Tuanzebe not being as bad as he looked and/or Johnson's return. This is a scenario where I wonder if changing formation would be the answer if not...

Muric
O'Shea - Burgess - Greaves
Burns - Morsy - Cajuste - Davis
Hutchinson - Szmodics
Delap

Though that may leave us exposed out wide and McKenna doesn't really play around with shape. I think I'd feel happier with that if Ogbene was available.
