Day of the Jackal.... on 15:44 - Dec 6 with 2322 views | davblue | More intense than the Game of Thrones episode in the last season where the white walkers were attacking the castle? That's the most on the hook, ive been watching a tv show.

Day of the Jackal.... on 18:54 - Dec 6 with 2073 views | chicoazul | I don’t know why but I just can’t get into it. I have 3 episodes to watch and would rather watch other things. It’s odd because it should be exactly in my sweet spot. I’ve been rewatching the abso brilliant original Tinker Tailor on iPlayer and The Agency on paramount which so far is excellent.

Have updated thread title now, thought was an excellent final episode and series overall. Think a few bits could have been explored more, like the backstory with his partner in the army and what happened there when they got away but overall was very satisfying. It didn’t leave any pointless cliffhangers but also set a second series up very well. I’d finished watching Sherwood the night before, so the poor old boy in the motorhome got shot twice in two nights for me!

I was kinda hoping that the Mi5 lass would find him in the first 5mins and somehow blow themselves up with a grenade leaving 50 mins of watching his wife saunter around their swimming pool in a bikini but alas, the storyline was probably a bit better on reflection.

Cheers. Yea it was good. I thought Bianca was made to look a bit stupid. She needs a desk job. All that time to be killed so easily was a bit odd. They kept saying his e-fit was everywhere yet he still moved around fairly freely with only one (?) recognising him. I hope they address how he survived the crash. Plenty of scope for season two. Now to wait for Squid Game!

I thought the final episode was a bit lame. I was expecting big things after a Lads group WhatsApp post. Should have finished it after episode 9 - ready for the next series. [Post edited 14 Dec 2024 10:53]
