Nothing to do with replacing our main threat (no, not Delap, he was goosed before coming off but I can't blame KM for keeping him on) Hutch with the so far this term ineffective Burns.
And nothing to do with replacing a similarly goosed Szmodics with the ineffective Clarke.
And absolutely nothing to do with appreciating that, perhaps, 1-0 ahead, with limited options on the bench, maybe, just maybe, 10 minutes of a change to defend like lions may have been the better option.
So whilst "massively fked" may be an over-statement I think KM needs to be honest with us, as he has been in the past, and ccept that he had a part to play in that defeat.

I think we could have looked to tighten things up, maybe via utilising Cajuste and Phillips earlier and a change of shape. We were in the game but making basic errors, giving the ball away easily whilst in possession and allowing them to get forward - even if they weren't creating it was still a risk and I wish we had addressed it. But if not for Muric's rush of blood, perhaps it wouldn't have happened. | |

Fans still talking about Szmodics going up top.... He is never going to play striker for us, he is not an out ball. AAH did fine when he came on as well.
B'mouth had more of the ball, naturally. But they werent creating loads, we defended well vs a very good team. It took our GK to do something inexplicable for the game to change.
