Definitely a deflection on the Wolves goal. Shows the ball flick upwards above Muric's hands. Also, when one of our defenders question him, he points at Clarke to signal it was a deflection.

Just watched motd and it’s clear the debacle at the end of the game is caused by Delap trying , and succeeding, to wind up Wolves players. Immature , unprofessional and now we have lost him for our next game. McKenna was pushing him away from the scene, I hope he gets a good talking too, because his mouth is costing us and he needs to rein it in.

It’s not clear at all

His mouth may have possibly cost him a yellow (that’s not confirmed) but his performances have been outstanding. He single handidly earnt our 1st goal yesterday. I personally think he was sticking up for other players and I would never criticise him for that

We criticise far too much on here - even after having a fantastic result. I feel that the people who unfairly criticise simply don’t go to games and base everything from 3 mins of highlights

It is no 'clear' that Delap caused it. Was he involve? Yes, he's clearly having his say, but without knowing what was said or happened prior to that, we have no idea who or what was the catalyst.

Does Liam need to learn to temper his passion a little? Yes, probably, but not significantly - it is part of what makes him the player his is, and we wouldn't want to lose that.

Someone told me Wes Burns started it, Ronaldo style wink at him. No idea if that’s caught on camera or not

Perhaps they mean the biblical "descent into hell" that Christ suffered after his crucifixion, in the sense that when Delap loses it, he really loses it.

I think they meant he was booked for going down too easily.

'Descent'? I don't think he's prone to diving...

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

There was a little clip where it looked to me like Burns did start it but as you say, it was either something said or a wink.

For it to spiral like it did was dead weird. Burns had walked off whilst it was all kicking off too.

Not sure what triggered it, but did see a shove on Greaves by Ait-Nouri and that seemed cause Burns to react.

Think you're right actually. Thought Burns had walked away but there's a picture where it looks like he's trying to calm Ait-Nouri down.

He had been grumpy the whole game. The thing with Burns in the first half came from absolutely nothing as well.

Glad they focussed on that.

It's bad enough that he elbowed the ITFC staff member in the head, but I actually think the removal of glasses was just as bad. A disrespectful, bullying act, that. Hope the FA throw the book at him.

Also, Ait-Nouri had to be physically manhandled multiple times and practically shoved down the tunnel.

Not a good look for Wolves.

Not happy about Delap getting booked, but didn't see any footage to show why he did.

Yes and the elbow was a cowedly act to the back of the head , 5 game ban coming i think and would be well deserved .

I had a perfect view of the goal because I was sat in a direct line from me to the scorer and on to Muric and the goal posts.

The issue for me was Muric's positioning because there was a large gap between him and the near post meaning he had to dive to his right (unsuccessfully) to try to prevent the goal.

It may be that he had set himself up for the cross but a goalkeeper should not really be beaten at his near post from such a narrow angle, whether or not there was a deflection.

My three friends thought the same as me, but these things happen, he otherwise played well and we won in the end which is all that matters.

I don’t think he did too much wrong - but that said I agree he was probably a step too far to his left.

But which player doesn’t make a slight error now and again. As others have already said, others were also culpable in the lead up to the goal, but they don’t get caned as much as the poor old goalie.

Its also assault. Not a player, not heat of the moment in a sport. Thats literally criminal.

Cowardly also, striking someone when they can't see to defend themselves.
