Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 22:06 - Dec 30 with 3547 views | Bramidan | Cucerello should have been booked for simulation. Ref just had a word. He went over rolling but soon got up when he realised ref wasn’t buying it.
Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 22:06 - Dec 30 with 3534 views | Guthrum | He did start out with Ipswich playing at Right Back, just got moved up the pitch when his attacking ability proved more useful.

Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 22:08 - Dec 30 with 3490 views | WicklowBlue | Spot on! Wes and the whole team really dug in and delivered. I really enjoyed Cucerello getting called out for the diving pr!ck he is. As an aside loved the noise in FPR tonight. Well done everyone...
Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 22:17 - Dec 30 with 3338 views | Swansea_Blue | I was a bit disappointed he didn't whack him! None of the old guard let us down do they? And arguably we look better with them than with players we've spent many £millions on. Wes, Broady, Morsy, Woolf. All immense tonight. Special shout out Woolfy from me. He was fine at the start of the season and I thought had been treated harshly by being dropped. He comes in against two teams who are the 3rd and 4th highest scorers in the league and the defence only concedes one goal. I'm so pleased for him. He's ITFC to the core and justifiably living the dream. He's a Rolls Royce of a CB and always looked like he could play at the highest level imo.

Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 22:26 - Dec 30 with 3177 views | FrimleyBlue | It worked so well as we weren't over relying on him being attacking.. just a naster ankle nipper on the right.. now that role worked wonders at this level.

Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 23:57 - Dec 30 with 2894 views | BloomBlue | The unsung hero tonight. KM had obviously decided Burns would stand on the half way line on the right every time we had a goal kick, for an outlet for Walton. Every time he ran up to that half way line, even when all the other players were trying to calm it down and take a deep breath. Even after one lung busting run to get back and defend, he had to immediately run back to the half way line. It worked as it meant Cucurella had to keep dropping back

Wes Burns an unsung hero tonight on 00:46 - Dec 31 with 2715 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | Really good. As much as he is a pantomime villain, Cucucrella has been playing at a very high level this season, and Burns gave him a horrible night

This does look like the formation from the end of 2021/22 and start of 2022/23 where Burns was more of a RWB and O’Shea playing the CB/RB role that Donacien did at that time. I think it started to shift more to a 4-2-3-1 midway through 2022/23.
| They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all! | Poll: | Who should start in CM with Cajuste? |

Yes, he played plenty of games for Fleetwood as a right wing back, though I can only remember him as a winger against us, very effective as well on one occasion.

Let’s erase the word simulation. He cheated and tried to get a fellow professional sent off. His histrionics in that incident would have been laughable but given how gullible and malleable refs are there was a 50/50 chance of Hutchinson getting a straight red and greasy thatch bonce knew it. I was close to the incident. It was 50/50 and I don’t think the grubby little cheat was even touched. The con artist rightly got dogs abuse after that ‘performance’ from one and all including me. It didn’t stop him carrying on his antics. Sadly, he’s a terrific player and I don’t think his unpleasant desire to bend the rules, cheat, try and derive advantage unfairly does him no favours. Burns? I thought he did really well. Fought for everything and was disciplined. It was for me his best performance this season. I’ve wondered a bit about his confidence in playing at this level. If my guess has any validity, last night should banish that.

It also meant Walton could when needed kick long to either Delap or Burns , a bit unusual that Wes could be used in this way but ok because of the little so and so size . Almost every game Cucurella gets into bother well nice to see him come out second best.
