From the Chelsea fans forum

‘The most annoying thing about that game is that Ipswich did basically NOTHING as a team and won 2-0. Just Delap running around like a maniac by himself and bullying our CB’s single-handedly. They didn’t pass it around and press us like Fulham did, they didn’t smack in a hundred crosses and threaten from corners, they didn’t destroy us on the counter. They seriously just had 1 single striker running and hoping for a mistake from our defense and waiting to pounce. And we obliged.’

Priceless! They just can’t admit that on the night we were better than them.

Another comment:

‘Feel aggrieved for our fans going all that way for sub par performances’

They should try travelling from Ipswich to Plymouth - that’s going a long way to support your team.

But if you look at a side like Forest, they are sitting back inviting pressure, happy to give up possession and then they hit teams on the break with shear pace and they've been bloody good and effective at it this season.

The only thing is, we are significantly lacking in 'shear pace'

They appear to forget to mention their multi million pound outfit failed to lay a glove 9n their largely League One counterparts. How embarrassing is that for the “ mighty” CFC

Yeah, just taken the piss out of one on Facebook moaning about there being no contact for the penalty. Bad losers, the gift that keeps on on giving - doubly so when they’re Chelsea fans. I once had an horrendous train journey back to London after they beat us in the League Cup on pens - me and a full carriage of them giving it like they’d won the cup all the way back.

I met one on a train years ago when we were coming back from different matches somewhere in the NW - he was Scottish! but actually a really nice guy - there are a few of them around ;) and we had a great chat.

Edit: oh and btw, talking of distances, he lived in Edinburgh and was a ST holder as well as going to away games. Would no doubt have mocked the whingers mentioned in OP.

Chelsea had 76% possession & 20 shots to our 9. No wonder they're wondering how they lost the game 2-0.

They lost because they didn't score. It's not hard to inderstand.

We are cannon fodder in their eyes. Their sense of entitlement is off the scale while some of us remember them in the second tier. If it wasn’t for a Russian oligarch they would have gone bust twenty years ago. Local rivalry aside they are my most detested team / club.

I detest Chelsea. Proper loathe their dirty Russian money, John Terry worshipping, heritage.

I love to hate Norwich. Proper pantomime. Booooo! But we kind of need each other, like Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty.

Is shear pace about how long it takes to get the wool off a sheep?

TBH, the team had a terrible attitude, so no wonder their support is also woeful

Small things like the Chelsea players not bothering to clear the balls from the warm-up, leaving them scattered around the pitch suggests they came here just so very entitled. With that attitude, no wonder they lost.

That was weird wasn't it? I was expecting them to come out and do some kind of final warm up routine with those balls before kick off.

Only one of their players actually took it upon themselves to move them off the pitch before kick off.

Does it help having Wool-fenden in defence?

The most surprising element of the game for me was that I was comfortable for the last 10 minutes feeling that the game was won , even after our late late latest recently the game felt done and dusted on 80 minutes.

Wish you’d told me, I was practically having palpitations pacing round the house yelling “keep it tight you blues” for those 10+5!
