Surely every member of our fanbase now understands that it's there for us. Quite something that we could lose by a goal tonight and remain outside the bottom three – with Wolves' following couple of games just as hard as ours.
So hopefully we can really go for it. Feels a shame that we'll have to try with a pretty light attack and it'd be really nice to see Hutchinson on that teamsheet in some capacity. It's a really, really difficult game but should be a belter and any kind of positive result puts us in a fantastic position in my opinion. Could not have foreseen us being out of the bottom three this quickly four weeks ago so what a boost it'd be to capitalise. [Post edited 16 Jan 8:48]

It still feels ludicrous that we're talking about Brighton being winnable when it wasn't long ago we felt worlds apart from them. But in the context of the Premier league, we've only got 18 games left and if you rank them in terms of 'winnability' this probably sits in the top 1/3 given its at home and they aren't in the best form themselves, whereas we are (relatively speaking). We've taken more points in our last 6 than they have, and I would argue we've had tougher fixtures.
Being objective about it man-for-man we're not favourites, but that's also true for most of our games this season.
Agree with your point about the crowd though, need to be up for it from the start and shouldn't underestimate our part in it. The players feed off it, and vice versa. Chelsea was a great example, it was electric, we might not have got that version of a pumped up Delap if the crowd sit there expectantly. [Post edited 16 Jan 11:18]

Yeah get the logic of it, and probably the classic 'good time to play them' as well as they're struggling with injuries a bit themselves. Conversely they'll probably see this game as a good opportunity to end their winless streak.
Like Chelsea, think this is a really important one to get off to a good start in. Let them set the tone too early and we could be in for a difficult night but rock them early doors and get the crowd pumping then we could sap the confidence out of them and make it count. |  |

IF he only got on grass this week, lets not risk him imo. I know we're light, but no good risking him and potentially losing in for longer than we need to. |

That season the City Ground was relentless, all stands on feet constant singing and huge and elaborate TIFOs on a regular basis. Cooper also changed system midway through season. And they just survived.
Our season will be tight margins, not sure our fans have quite risen to the occasion - although excellent in a number of home game... Chelsea. Do we really want to get to the end of the season having not left everything on the terraces?
Also seems Blue Action are rightly reluctant for a large North Stand TIFO after the Liverpool effort... but we need one, and we need one that celebrates McKenna - we had LAMBO!! |  |
