Wolves fixtures 09:00 - Jan 26 with 2907 viewsBlue_Heath

Wolves have a so callled easy run coming up:

Tuesday 25th Feb
Home Fulham

Saturday 8th Mar
Home Everton

Saturday 15th Mar
Away Southampton

Tuesday 1st Apr
Home West Ham United

Saturday 5th Apr
Away Ipswich Town

I would expect them to get 10 points from this unless Fulham turn up and Everton have new manager bounce.

During that same period we have:

26 Feb 19:30 Manchester United A

8 Mar 15:00 Crystal Palace A
15 Mar 15:00 Nottingham Forest H

1 Apr 19:45 AFC Bournemouth A
5 Apr 15:00 Wolverhampton Wanderers H

Other than hopefully Wolves I don't see any points in the away game, maybe get something against Forest if they fall away. This will be the season defining month, please Arsenal go and buy Cunha at any cost.

I know it's kind of only natural to think in terms of worst case scenarios but what really is there to suggest that we should "expect" Wolves to get 3 wins from that run when they've only got 3 wins all season? I do think we need to come out of the next few games with a cushion on them of some kind (maybe 3 points or so) but I don't see a lot to suggest their form will turn around quickly. That's not to say it definitely won't of course!

And their next 3 games are Villa, Liverpool and Bournemouth...

We will beat Southampton, then Coventry and hopefully that will build some momentum.

Got to beat Saints mind, it's a biggy.

We could end up staying up and getting into Europe for the FA cup, classic Town.

What is it about Wolves season so far that makes people think they’re suddenly about to pick up loads of points?

Agree, we definitely need to start getting some points on the board.

Their experience and history of doing it before plus a manager who knows what he is doing.

You’re expecting them to average 2 points per game over the next 5 games? Blimey, that’s a bit optimistic.

Their manager is a proper journeyman whose record is littered with as many failures as successes. I think they've had whatever bounce they are going to have from appointing him and they seem to be regressing to the undisciplined, petulant mess they were when he arrived.

Also, 'Wolves history of doing it'.

On this date last season they were in 11th place, 13 points above the drop zone. In fairness, 2 seasons ago they did have a strong second half of the season to pull away from danger after appointing Lopetegui, but there have been a lot of changes to players and management since then.

I really don't understand this determination amongst our support to talk up our rivals, when all evidence suggests that they aren't very good at all. Wolves have just lost 4 on the spin, scoring one in the process, and seemingly have all sorts of issues with some of their better players.

Same old story from last season isn't it? Leeds were suddenly going to turn their form around against all odds and common sense, but no way we could possibly pick up a point or two to stay ahead of them, no sir.

There were definitely times when Leeds looked uncatchable last season but people were definitely claiming Southampton were about to catch us despite being miles behind.

Just like Leicester who have some tricky games starting with a tough trip to face Spurs away…….oh.

Maybe I'm naive but all bar Bournemouth away, we should not be worried about the opposition.

We've got.to Starr winning at home for any chance of staying up and man utd are actually not very good.

Palace is certainly a game we can get something from.

Why don’t you include the rest of the fixtures. This really is not a balanced post

Why are you acting like we haven't got to play basically all the same teams still? It's not like there are 5 games left, there is nearly half a season. We've still got to play all of the teams in the current bottom 10 twice, as have Wolves. Wolves still need to play Liverpool and City again (both away) - we don't.
