To save Ipswich Town. The Blue Action training ground protest during Lambert's reign, and then the subsequent anti-Evans banners/posters that went up around the time. They had their critics at the time but I believe those events were critical in making Marcus Evans think again about the ownership and finally deciding to sell up. Look where we are now, compared to then!
Any other moments of significant protest in our history?

The petition to get Jaime Peters signed.
I actually remember that, wasn't there competition from Manchester United for him at the time?
Weirdly he came good under Keane (I know... but he played some blinders under him) and then was immediately exiled under Jewell for a stinker against Millwall away (if I recall).

Not a protest… but the Blue Army at Barnsley away.
Spontaneous, no clapping, just 20+ years worth of hope/joy/anger/support all coming out for (what seemed) a 5min period. Men and women, fists in the air, shouting. I get goosebumps thinking about it

Was going to suggest the same thing. Even though I wasn't there to be part of it, I could feel how powerful that was. Plenty of times last season too I'd argue as we strived for/and got late goals.
The 'Dale Roberts' game against Sheff Utd in 2003 would get a vote from me too.
Also.
1993 Nodge at home. The noise that night was ridiculous.

I would have thought you would have gone for the member of the coaching staff who gave Jay Tabbing help with his heading that enabled him the score “that” goal.

There’s video from Barnsley isn’t there? Think one of the Barnsley vloggers caught it from the side stand
When Robert Fleck returned to Portman Road as a Reading player and was greeted by a very loud chant of “You fat bastard” from all four sides of the ground as the players were warming up. Magnificent stuff.
In 1971 when Ipswich lost at home to Manchester United in the League Cup. A portion of the crowd chanted 'Robson Out' Apparently, the next day the Cobbolds called Bobby into their office and apologised for the crowd behaviour and extended his contract. The rest is history.

He had only just joined Reading and had a similar reception when walking off while being substituted during the 5-0 about a month earlier.
Also he recieved quite a bit of abuse from the Chruchmans in the 92-93 season when warming up as a sub for Chelsea. We scored and their manager (David Webb ?) moaned afterwards his players were distracted.

If Churchmans are riled up that’s always a good sign

I remember a game at the back end of the 80's when Mick Quinn was getting huge pelters from the Churchmans while playing for Pompey. I had to look around and check I hadn't wondered into the North by mistake.

not from the Barnsley chap - but from the Ipswich dugout...
That was one of the best nights I’ve ever had at a football match. It was a close game until we scored those two goals just before half time. There’s a great video from the stand of the goals going in and fans who had already gone for a half time drink etc running back up into the stand … not once but twice.

Can we get this going on Saturday?
difficult to know how it will go. You can sense what it will be like before kick-off, the noise below, the excitement levels all give a strong indication of how loud we will be.
I really hope the new lad from Brighton starts, he is a baller, and a fighter, I think having him in there at home will spark the crowd into life.
