Even if there is a buy back option. Id be amazed if it could be activated in the first transfer window after the sale.

Why would City sign him for £15 extra million to then try and sell him again for a larger profit, it makes no sense

He's unlikely to feature for them either, not with Haaland or the new guy there now

Why can’t it be right if that was what was agreed and put in the original sale contract ?

Surely he goes nowhere this window otherwise letting AAH on loan is totally bonkers to have just one glassy No 9 at the club. We are all hurting at the moment but this is a level beyond madness.

Zero chance he’s moving on in this window.

But clearly off in the summer.

For sure, will be Burnleyesque outgoings this summer but that's if any of the players beyond Delap are rated!

How can you prove it’s not correct ? The club have been exceptionally guarded about delaps buy back Clause whenever asked , they have never given a definitive answer , if it was rubbish it would be much easier for the Club to simply come out and say it’s rubbish , if it’s true then of course it’s much harder to come out and say so with the uproar it would cause.

Of course I can't prove it .. does not take a genius to decipher that though.

Not one credible journalist has reported Delap interest at any point during the month. It's all bang average newspapers attempting to whip up a story and create headlines. What better day to do that then deadline day?

The club are never going to communicate regarding player contracts! It's not rubbish, there is a clause in there.

Maybe the 2 clubs had an agreement that the terms would not be disclosed and we feel we don't want our dealings known ?

If there is a buy back clause that can only be activated in the summer for the £30m quoted, would the club look to cash in now for £50/£60m before the clause is available?

Personally don’t think Delap leaves this window, but not convinced the clause is as low as has been reported or there is more to the clause.

There was an Aston Villa reporter on Sky last week, who stated that Man City had a buy back clause for Douglas Luiz, the clause was for two nominated windows. He was surprised that they didn’t activate, however it would have been a back up to Rodri. I guess we are in a similar space to this, that Man City have the clause, but don’t really need him.

It could also be that we can buy out the clause, which has happened in the past with other players.

I have no information on this I’ll add…

But I think people will be very surprised when we sell him. Some of the figures I’ve seen mentioned are insane, and I don’t see him reaching those prices, personally.

We’ll be good again... one day
