Trump won't want to pay for the reconstruction of Gaza, and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barack thinks this might be an opening gambit to get Arab nations to get involved in things like security, governance and reconstruction, with the elimination of Hamas being a very important factor.

I can't see Gaza being reconstructed so long as a significant number of Palestinians remain in the territory. This is an opportunity to kill any hopes of a Palestinian state once and for all.

Mr Trump wants to kick the Palestinians out of Gaza to who knows where. He doesn’t actually care or know where but it’ll be to bright new homes with lots of opportunities. His ghastly place in Florida mainly? Oh, I guess not.
Actually, that class 1 berk Rubio says Palestinian displacement would be temporary. Yeah, and Nelson will get his eye back. Does the oily idiot think anything above an amoeba will believe that?
Gaza is to become part of the USA after Israel has finished demolishing it and they’ll reconstruct it into a sort of theme park, hotels, Casinos - a sort of Las Vegaza. Who’s going to pay? The Americans? Nope, thought not. How about the Palestinians in return for their bright new homes and opportunities on Mars? Sorted!
So who will run the 54th state? Americans or Israelis? I presume as it’s US land the Israelis will need Visas like everyone else to visit there? Oh, thought not. How about in return for helping rebuilding the place they demolished in the first place, they are allowed to live and work in Disneygaza? Makes sense.
Everyone’s a winner. Palestinians get free flights to Mars and an egg box to live in, providing they can pay for the oxygen. Trump builds his empire and makes money, Israel gets a chunk of land its wanted since the dawn of time. Could this be the objective? Hmmm I wonder.
Can’t see what people are complaining about. Panama Canal, Canada or Greenland next? Actually, how about resettling 2m Palestinians in Greenland? Loads of opportunities there.
But we are not allowed to call it ethnic cleansing, are we. ‘Temporary displacement while their houses are rebuilt’. Sounds warm and caring, you see. Bit like using the term forced labour for what the Germans did to millions of people in WW2. Much more sanitised than slavery, which was precisely what it was.
Now some of my wacky thoughts are nearly as nuts as the reality coming out of the orange idiot every day.
What a world we live in. I thought we’d plumbed the depths with the charlatans, criminals, scroungers and dimwits we’ve elected in my lifetime, but trumpmeister tops the lot. And the thickos elected him twice!!
Back to my Flashman book (George McDonald Fraser). Far more sanity in that.

There's far more sanity in the Pratchett I'm currently reading whilst warming my arse on a nuclear reactor.

I think they’ve got a solution for that. As it would clear away the ‘inconvenience’ of the Palestinian people once and for all, one could call it the Final Solution.
Sounds preposterous, yet it’s playing out in front of our eyes and some members of the Israeli government have been open about that effectively being their aim. It’s utterly disgusting. And perverse too, given its being perpetrated by the government of the homeland of the Jewish people. That makes it far worse imo (if that’s even possible).

Apparently Ukraine have a leak of Trump’s plan today to end the war there too.
Russia get to keep what they have and Ukraine aren’t allowed to join NATO and have to remain neutral in any deal.
Sounds like he is just doing Putin’s work for him like he has with Israel/Gaza.

You forgot a bit. The remaining rump of Ukraine to have its sovereignty guaranteed by Russia alone and its military to be disbanded. Russia to police Ukraine remains to ensure it remains peaceful, all paid for by Ukraine. Zelenski to stand trial in Moscow for war crimes.
Sounds fair to me.

Looking at the BBC Trump is looking to grab and centralise power. I doubt your average American has a clue where this is heading.
At a lower level, CNN (not exactly reliable source) has an interesting article on how Musk operates. Basically bone headed pre and early Victorian kickass and single finger to the consequences. Obey and endure or do one and probably get nothing. Result: in the private sector the business goes down the pan. In government? We are going to find out. It’s well worth a read for insight.

Trump has now imposed sanctions on members of the ICC for simply doing their jobs.
I think we are well beyond what most people realistically expected. People knew it would be bad and a bit nuts but it's absolutely crazy.

From what I am reading and can see, he and his henchmen are just getting started.
One thing for sure is that bowing to their demands or hiding in the corner, just like any form of appeasement, is totally the wrong way to go about dealing with this bunch.
As for the American people, the sane ones need to wake up fast as to what is happening if they are not to see their country literally come apart in a few years time.

And they'll be able to do most of this unchecked in the US, with the FBI about to be handed over to Trump loyalists, the AG already handed over, Defence being run by a Fox News Host etc etc
Plus, if he wanted to go the legislature route, he has both houses and a stacked Supreme Court.
There is very little anyone within the US can do to stop him or Project 2025, who are the real power behind this Presidency

I frequent an American message board online and (ok, it's a leftie echo chamber, but still...) a large percentage of them have been very worried about Trump Mark 2. I'm not sure any of this is a particular surprise to them. Some of them have been and continue to be pretty fatalistic about what is going on. Now the guardrails are off and Trump has appointed people who share his 'vision', all bets are off.

The US, Israel and Russia don't recognise the ICC.
With arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Putin, and investigations into US action in Afghanistan, it's not hard to wonder why.
Your second paragraph is spot on.
Perhaps the allies mentioned below include Putin, given the arrest warrant issued against him.
Donald Trump has signed an executive order that authorises aggressive economic sanctions against the international criminal court (ICC), accusing the body of “illegitimate and baseless actions” targeting the US and Israel.
The order grants the US president broad powers to impose asset freezes and travel bans against ICC staff and their family members if the US determines that they are involved in efforts to investigate or prosecute citizens of the US and certain allies.
In the order, Trump said the ICC had “abused its power” by issuing the warrants which he claimed had “set a dangerous precedent” that endangered US citizens and its military personnel.
“This malign conduct in turn threatens to infringe upon the sovereignty of the United States and undermines the critical national security and foreign policy work of the United States government and our allies, including Israel,” he added."

Trump is beginning to look like a puppet. It is those pulling his strings we need to worry about.
How long before there's Marshal law in America? The people will surely, eventually, realise they've been conned and the billionaires have snatched even more of the wealth, while turning the people against each other.

Not sure about Marshall law, but the rest of bang on. All a bit tragic.
