Absolutely he robbed us of 2 points, and gifted a point to a relegation rival. If there was any sort of justice, he'd err in our favour on Saturday, but it just isn't gonna happen is it.
Tim Robinson the ref on Saturday. on 23:15 - Feb 18 by peterleeblue
He could have righted the wrongs on the day by giving us the soft free kick on the halfway line on Morsy. Followed by the full time whistle!!
He won't have known he was in the wrong at that point. In the aftermath in the days that followed he will, and it might just be there as a tiny thought in his subconscious.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I'd rather he just reffed the game fairly than go making more errors to even it up. We need officials to be better rather than equalling out their dodgy decisions.
I can live with refs making the odd howler. VAR is supposed to be there to stop this but it's hamstrung by the stupid rules imposed on it and seemly run by baffons that don't want to upset or undermine the ref, rather than working together to come to the correct and fair decision. VAR is still a mess after 5 years and seriously needs new eyes looking at how it can be improved to benefit all.

The use of VAR is just odd though, they don't want to undermine refs but they were happy to get the ref to overturn the pen we were awarded against Everton even though it didn't look a clear and obvious error, more of a "you've seen them given" type of incident. Then we don't get VAR intervening a couple of games later when Chaplin gets wiped out. It's the inconsistency that's frustrating.

Indeed, there's just as much inconsistency in VAR as in reffing without it. That's no real surprise though considering it's manned by inconsistent refs! As I said in my last post it's a mess. It adds little to the game in it's current form other than delay.

I'm not saying he'll deliberately "even it up", hence the word "subconscious".

I wasn't saying you did fella, just that I'd rather things were fixed to work as all were expecting when VAR was introduced.
I don't understand the dismay at Robinson reffing us again, VAR was to blame for the Leicester debacle. Refs are always going to make mistakes or miss stuff as they only have one set of eyes and they're watching the game live.

I look forward to the day we have AI robot refs who are 100% correct and aren't influenced by any outside sources!

Agreed, all it's done is shift the debate elsewhere, it hasn't made things any better at all. When VAR doesn't intervene on things like the Chaplin incident and the Lewis-Skelly sending off, heck I'd even add in Jaoa Pedro's assault on Walton (which would have been a red in rugby, FFS) to the mix, then you really have to ask what the point of it is.

The worst bit for me, as Tony alludes to above, is you can never 100% let yourself go for an in-the-moment celebration anymore (i.e. as the ball hits the net) because you're always wondering if VAR will spot some tiny thing. There's the extra celebration after the check's completed of course, but it's never as "limbs" as the original celebrations used to be.

It won’t, he comes across as an arrogant git.
Won’t even have admitted to himself that he changed the Leicester game result big time, at least three times ( the non penalty, the quick fire sending off before VAR could look at the penalty , the late soft free kick , but as Ashton said the whole match was going in that direction, every single decision) .. and it’s not the first time he has done that here… there’s been countless times even way back to the championship … he was the ref way back when young Tayo Edun got sent off on his debut …a poor poor decisin that out our friend Tim back in the spotlight.
A very poor ref and should be nowhere near the Premier league.
Probably takes joy in the mayhem he causes and being the centre of attention and fully expect the same again from him on Saturday.
