It'd make more sense to have the sponsors on the back over anyway - people look at that for the squad lists.
Plenty of decisions made by the club this season can be questioned, but the majority have been calculated gambles considering the position we suddenly found ourselves in. This one is a completely unncessary own goal. | |

FWIW, I used to work in a programme role at a club and the sponsor obligations on the front of the programme come from the PL/EFL - it won't be club sponsors pushing for this. I'm certain that nobody at Town will be happy with the decision to remove these from the front cover. |  | | |

It's all a bit baffling. The sponsors are presented on the cover now in exactly the same way as they were on the Ted covers.

At the fans forum Ashton suggested there were a lot of different parties to keep happy with regards to the programme cover, with the players being one of them.
Think there was something else doing the def info rounds about players feeling a bit aggrieved at being bumped off the cover for some artwork in what could be their only season in the PL. |  |

It was over the Dalian Atkinson cover, it was because he was murdered by the police. They didn't want any association with that, given that he was a black man killed in that way and the current climate.
We should have made the point it makes it worse by NOT acknowledging him. He was a fantastic talent and deserves to be remembered for that. |  |

I'm pretty sure it wasn't to do with Dalian. Heard stuff about players and sponsors not being happy, though seems to work on other clubs such as Brighton. We will probably never know the true story, but its such a shame as they were brilliantly different | | | |
