I think it is clear O’Shea is just a better right-back than Godfrey so he’s down to third choice.
Personally I would have brought in Burgess, Morsy, Broadhead, Hirst and maybe Johnson. Crystal Palace may have been our best performance for a while but was still worse than most games up to the point that we first conceded against Brighton (the turning point - we looked a competitive Premier League team until that moment), so doesn’t particularly feel like a game to be built on but McKenna knows better than me.

McKenna has to take some of the blame. There was no reason to start him against Manchester City and that seemed to destroy his confidence as well as that of the fans. [Post edited 15 Mar 14:21]
