Still got a few good away days to look forward to. 13:30 - Mar 16 with 2739 viewsSitfcB

Been looking forward to Goodison Park for ages, glad we get a chance to get there before it goes.

Newcastle always a good one as well and the final trip to London for Chelsea.

Will be nice to pick up at least one more home win as well, it’ll probably come when it doesn’t matter.

Hope the final game of the season is still a bit of a party atmosphere.

When are the dates for Newcastle and Everton set in stone?

Superthanks.

Annoying that Chelsea is a Sunday afternoon. But I guess it’ll be one to tick off this season still.

Have a horrible feeling Newcastle will be a Monday night game or something.

Can’t see it being much of a party to be honest

Newcastle is set now, the final doubt was wether either of us were going to be in the FA Cup semi finals.

Everton will be confirmed between the 17th and 21st March according to the PL website, someone told me in a pub last week that it’ll be the 8pm Saturday kick off that weekend but can’t see why it would be!

Yeah, not a fan of Sunday away games ffs. Bus replacements as well.

And the train tickets have gone up to £48 from £18 so think it might be a drive to Epping jobby.

As below Newcastle game is set now.

When there's bus replacements, they don't do cheap advance singles. You get the double whammy of a hugely sh!t journey that you also may loads more for the privilege of. Bonkers.

I think it's different for sure when you are able to go to away games.

Bring a point short of the 15+ group at the beginning of the season has effectively locked me (and loads of others) out of that experience. I've entered every ballot - never been successful.

I'm chuffed for you, little one and others like you that have made memories like this.

However as a ST holder without any away games, it's been a terrible season (1 win FFS) and there's naff all to look forward to until next season.

So I admire your optimistic approach, but difficult to get close to that without the same experience.

Have you thought about Southport? Plenty of hotels and guest houses and on Merseyrail to Bootle Oriel Road or Sandhills, both about 30 minutes' walk from the ground.

Once a few cheap tickets are gone then the pricing model changes it.

Probably doesn’t help for this one but might be worth considering a Friends & Family railcard which knocks a load off train costs:

Still, just imagine what the Arsenal game will be like on trains and buses for those of us coming the other way….

I intend to enjoy the rest of the season. Can't get to away games, but all being well looking forward to us playing Arsenal, plus there may still be a win or two to be enjoyed before the end of the season.

And as you say, hopefully a party feel for the last game. Bank holiday weekend, hopefully warm sunny weather and renewed hope for next season.

Yeah we have a F&F railcard, been well used this season but still priced out of many train trips.

My poor father had an inconvenient wnker of a child 5 days before Wembley in 2000. Needless to say he must be good at apologising, because he has some good stories from that day
