What a great day that was, the Blue Army chant midway through the first half, the delayed reaction to Broadhead's goal and then Hirst running through a minute later.
I was on the 0541 to work early doors. Left London at 1530…
Got diverted at Doncaster and was on a train with (his name escapes me - the poor disabled lad who passed away recently, in the wheelchair) anyway, the train he and I got diverted on had no disable access. The staff at the station couldn’t/wouldn’t help. So I managed to carry him up a load of stairs.
Then on arrival to Barnsley I asked some police if they could help get him to the ground (as I was going in a different direction to the pub, to which they said it wasn’t their job… unbelievable. So I pushed him to the ground.
Might have been my finest hour as a human, but I wasn’t having him miss that game or that moment.
Saw him again at Plymouth away, where he didn’t remember any of that Barnsley trip 😂

Tom Tomalin.
I don't think there's a Town fan around who hasn't pushed him to or from a train station somewhere.
Was in a university classroom in Oklahoma, 6000 miles from Barnsley. Had to excuse myself after Chaplin scored our third to go and punch the air in the corridor.
