Given Brentford would have had him if he'd been 'fit', I can see why he has ended up with us.
If we compare him to KP (who I like and wish was the player he was) it's night and day.
I do think JC has contributed this season, he's got better as the season has progressed, adapted well to Prem football and is one of the few players who hasn't struggled and looked like he belongs.
I would seriously consider taking him on, even though the rigours of Champ football might be an issue. He's quality. | |

KMcK clearly likes him, he has contributed a lot over the season, if he had been fitter and started like he’s finishing he’d be running Delap closer on POTY.
Is he what we need in the champ?
I don’t know, we do need quality players and we need a lot of midfielders. He’s in the building, I expect with the WC around the corner he is better in a settled team getting minutes competing in the top of the champ than not playing or being a squad player elsewhere, that goes the same for Delap (the 1% chance he stays). They could all stay until Jan and see how it is going.

Fantastic footballer, been an absolute pleasure to watch him play - he can continue to play at the top level beyond this season, whether UK or abroad - but wouldn't be shocked to see him at a B'mouth, Brentford, Brighton, Spurs.

Kane will be nearly 33 at the next World Cup and Watkins and Solanke are hardly setting the Premier League alight. There are pretty much no other realistic options for England, and we'll probably take three strikers.
I reckon if Delap gets himself a move to the top half of the Prem he goes to the World Cup. I doubt he will from the Championship. | | | |

As much as I think its almost certain that we wont keep him, you'd like to think that at some point he needs to buckle down and settle somewhere.
He is 25 years old and on his 8th different club already. I know loyalty doesn't really count for anything in football anymore but you'd think that his career might benefit from some consistency. |  | | |
