Personally, if you are going to have one of those panels (boy, is Jeff Stelling missed!), I’d prefer people on it that have something to offer beyond a ‘nice bloke’ which I’m sure he is.
Quite frankly, my chum’s springer spaniel Zeus, who is also very nice, would have offered just as much as Mr Merson did today.
