A season to forget. If we can hang on to him over the summer, he could be superb for us next year. His last touch isn’t quite there, but you can see (hear in my case!) glimpses of how could he could be. Westy is a huge fan and that might be colouring my judgement.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

If Sunderland want him back for the same price we paid, I'd snap your hand off. Not like we're short in that area of the pitch

I had wondered if that was likely given his link with them. We’ll have to see what the team looks like after the summer. If Leif goes we might need someone who can operate wide left and be a real threat (as he was at Sunderland). That’s not Broady’s strength.

Do they have a sell on clause? And so would get him cheaper than bought?

Any sell on would be based on profit so that couldn’t happen. Buy he’d be cheaper for them than anyone else if we sell him at a profit.

Really?

Nothing against him but we have a hundred players in that part of the pitch, and we overpaid for him, so I wouldn't be overly upset if we could break even on him and move on.

If he stays.........I'm not sure many people want him, and who does will want yo pay us the money for him.

I'm 99% sure he'll be here come the start of the season. Also I think he'll come good for us.

He's never looked particularly happy here, suspect he might want to move on.

We overpaid for practically every single player last summer. On those grounds sell all of them.

Clarke has a potential to be a step up on Broadhead. I thought him and Szmodics had some great link up play today.

I suppose that comes down to whether you think the other hundred players are good enough. For what it's worth my view is:

Broadhead - we'd be mad to get rid of.
Szmodics - had the season of his life last season. Past his best (meant in a literal sense, not that he's not longer useful), not convinced we know how and where to use him.
Philogene - has a lot to do to be successful here. Never seen a poorer start to a town career. Obviously talented but he's been awful, to be frank, plus he's had a serious injury.

Clarke looks the best of the lot for my money. I wasn't impressed at all for most of the season, but judging on today I thought he was very good.

Agree on Broady, I think Szmodics has show plenty enough before his injury to indicate he is still going to be very good in the championship.

Philogene has come in to a team majorly struggling from a base of limited game time with villa, he will also be great in the championship.

Clarke will also be decent if Sunderland aren’t interested, which I can’t see personally as will be £20m and now shown twice the premier league is currently beyond him

The only Muff in Town.

I'd be very surprised if Sunderland decided to spend a large chunk of their transfer budget on him. If they do then I suggest they'll be heading straight back down. I'm sure Clarke will be excellent in the Championship and I wouldn't be selling him unless we can find better.

I appreciate it's only one game, but Coventry couldn't get near Clarke in the FA cup game.

He'll be a real asset in the championship, although it does look as though the Prem might be a step too far for him at this point in time.

He needs to go on the weights.

So lightweight and knocked off the ball again for Bowens goal.

He played wider on the left for Sunderland. Hardly ever see him take a player
on the outside, always cuts inside, doing the defenders job for them.

He has had a really tough season, amongst many other players.

Needs to hit the ground running next season

Hindsight is always 20:20

No we didn’t. The overall combined value of the players we signed last summer is more than their transfers fees .

Thought he was lively today - him and Delap so nearly got a goal with their first touches! He will be awesome next season - was one of the better Champ players last season. People seem to forget that these young lads have never played in the PL and are taking a massive step up against some of the best opposition in the world! Trust the recruitment and maybe get behind the team not against them

I think he'll be fantastic next season. He's improved as the season's gone on, thought he was great today.

He is so much better now than he was pre-Christmas. If we were to sell him back to Sunderland now, for the same money, we would have basically gotten him Premier League ready for them, & they will get all the benefit of his tough learning curve.
