I've watched it back several times and it's clear the officer just casually turns, takes aim and fires directly at her. It's completely obvious she is a reporter and there doesn't seem to be any significant disruption going on around her, so there can be no excusing the wholly inappropriate actions of the officer concerned. Disgraceful.

Another big step in the dismantling of a free democracy. People were warned but they still voted for him and according to many (including on here) it was the Democrat's fault for their campaign/leadership etc. Not so - you vote for a lying convicted felon with no moral compass you get these types of results and have responsibility for it. He wanted this in his first term but this is what Wikipedia says.

We have police in the land of the free actively shooting at reporters, in circumstances where the President has been actively trying to shut down criticism and reporting.
And driving vehicles at crowds of civilians. If it was a Hispanic driver using a vehicle as a weapon, we’d sure as hell hear about it. There are some astonishing scenes coming out of LA. It’s hard to get your head around it. These nation-wide protests planned for this weekend could get very ugly if the authorities continue to inflame tensions.
Should be noted the LAPD are under local jurisdiction not federal, it's quite an important distinction when you consider what the protests are about and the communities involved. There has been some peaceful protests but a fair bit of violence in certain areas as well with cars set a light and rocks hurled at patrol cars from above, essentially looks like attempted murder. Not good all round and concerning if it continues to escalate.

Yeah, the standoffs appeared to begin between protesters and Ice agents. The LAPD initially refused to assist and so ICE had to hunker down. That’s when they started using vehicles as a battering ram to break through blockades and groups of protesters. I think the LAPD have been a bit naughty since though - they seem to be putting the boot in in a few cases. Sending in the Home Guard and now Marines against the wished of the Californian authorities is just nuts. Trump’s off his trolley.

Startlingly prophetic, but it was all in plain site.
It looks deliberate. Trump is making his authoritarian regime/fascist state/dictatorship before our very eyes. He’s moving rapidly.
Opposition drowned with new executive orders every day. Anyone not ‘team trump’ is the enemy and un-American. Journalists: muzzled. Publications: stamped on. Universities: financially strangled. Judges: binned. People who disagree: targeted. One President, one message, one right and wrong. Trump is always right. If he said everyone is happy and the economy is booming, that’s the truth. His truth. Ukraine started the war. Fact. Trump says so. Putin is a good guy etc etc. madness.
California is staunchly Democrat. With a population of near 40 million it’s one of the richest states in the Union. Of course it’s a target. The Governor - will he be imprisoned, have an accident or accidentally get a heart attack? If he doesn’t bend the knee one of those things will happen in my view.
Trouble is, Trump doesn’t forgive. He bears grudges permanently. His immediate response to those who do not toe the line, because Trump is always right, is abuse, bullying, threats and intimidation ably supported by his weak, witless henchmen. It’s going to get a lot worse there. I’ll say it one more time - Trump could break up the US. It’s that or it falls into permanent authoritarianism once subjugated.
