Cardinal Wolsey lived with a woman called Joan from Yarmouth. Bit like my dad, though at least the latter married her. Wolsey, after a couple of kids arrived on the scene binned her off to some other bloke to avoid damaging his career. The rotter!

Biggest judas player/ manager on 20:44 - Jun 10 by BeachBlue | I remember it all to well. I was five or six years old, Clive Woods was my favourite player. I cried when they announced it on TV, my dad said players move on sometimes. I said I know that, he asked what the issue was, I can still remember my reply "But why has he gone to Norwich?!" Then I found out he was a lifelong Norwich fan! It was very traumatic. Then Terry Butcher, became my favourite player and still is. |
One of my all-time favourites too. He was rather discarded after 1979 when Robson went with a front 2 of Mariner and Brazil with Gates tucked behind them. Very good servant to the club and deserved his move . When in form he was unplayable. Full backs had no clue how to stop him. Interesting that we scouted him out and pinched him from under Norwich's nose and Norwich did the same to us later with Ruel Fox another tricky winger.

Looking up his Wikipedia page I have found out that he is cousin-in-law to Jess Phillips, but is he a Labour voter ?

Phillips didn't change his mind, Watford wanted another £50,000 and we couldn't commit to that at the time. Sunderland could, hence why he went there.

Biggest judas player/ manager on 17:59 - Jun 10 by ZedRodgers | I remember an online game someone made where you could repeatedly punch a pixelated Hassan Kachloul in the face. With each hit, his bruises would gradually worsen. No objectives or high scores - just violence and retribution. These days, you’d get thrown in jail just for opening the URL. |
I'd never heard of him, but found this funny article. I like that he had his own website! https://www.skysports.com/football/news/2211821/kachloul-opts-for-ipswich-move

Biggest judas player/ manager on 09:43 - Jun 12 with 102 views | Reus30 | The one transfer that didn't happen but I will never forget the whole drama of it, is Jimmy Bullard pimping himself out to the scum before he signed on a perm with us after his loan spell. Maybe my timings are slightly out but there were a couple of appearances including on Soccer AM as a guest, where he was proper angling for a move, saying they were a great club (blurgh) It really wound me up and instantly made me dislike him, regardless of his performances on loan for us the 6 months prior.
