Its getting close to the summer holiday season and looking at Kindle based reading.

My preferences are:
Rock Music Biog./AutoBiog,
Sports (particularly football or Boxing) Biog/AutoBiog
Interesting people Biog/AutoBiog (more like world figures than Love Islanders or so called 'influencers')
Gangster/Underworld type true accounts
Special Forces / Military type reading
Stories (Fiction/Non-Fiction) based on the Caribbean

Looking for any suggestion recommendation and feel free to add any of your own requests in here...

Have you read 'Killing Thatcher'? It's excellent, very readable and overlaps with two of your categories:

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2023/apr/07/killing-thatcher-by-rory-carroll-r

Springsteen's autobiography is a few years old now but one of the best music bios I've read.

If you like Pink Floyd and want a fairly light but still interesting read then '(The Making of) The Dark Side Of The Moon' by John Harris is interesting:

Although I did get through it in a couple of days.

Killing Thatcher is a great book. Read it around the pool in Lanzarote last year.

The Kidnapping, by Tommy Conlon et al is a good read on a slightly similar theme and timezone. ( the Don Tidy Kidnapping by the IRA in 1983). Also as the big Leitrim connection

To cover football and rock, Danny Baker's three autobiogs are fun for light holiday reading, as is Bob Mortimer's And Away. Football wise Tony Cascarino's - The Secret Life of Tony Cascarino reamins a proper read compared to other players attempts.
The Rum Diary - Hunter S Thompson would meet your Caribbean criteria.

How to win the Premier League - Ian Graham

Was (one of) the man behind the data revolution at Liverpool. Interesting how clubs look at players now. Nature of a book like that means it's slightly repetitive at times tho

I am currently on holiday and reading Johnson at Ten. Not the easiest read, but incredibly detailed. Will follow that with Avocado Hotel by Bob Mortimer.

Currently reading Max Hastings book Sword. It’s a detailed account of Sword Beach on DDay. Can’t stand the bloke and most of his books are poor, but this one isn’t.

James Holland’s later books are excellent and are Anthony Beevor’s.

One of the best books I’ve read this year is Andrew Roberts’ biography of Winston Churchill, Walking with Destiny.

For loafing sun and beer reading, Bernard Cornwell Lost Kingdom and Sharpe books are good potboilers as a Conn Iggulden books.

I met Danny Baker and thought I really liked him, but sadly he proved to be a bit of a nob.

Loved the Rum diary, read that while in Jamaica alongside Ian Flemming - James Bond books.

Good shout with Cass. Read Chris Camara's book a few weeks ago, good but 'difficult' read, would recommend, such a lovely guy

I read the Fourth Protocol after the movie had some footage on , around and under the Orwell Bridge, a good read and as often used to be the case, better than the film.

Will take a look at the Town Fans books, love to keep it 'local'

Actually, reminds me there was someone published a book about a player who made good. Sort of footballer-cum-detective as I vaguely recall?? Its a while back, not sure if it was ever followed up. Decent read, but quite a few year ago. The link was on here to it, will have to try a re-find that..

If you want a different take on the Caribbean try Monique Roffey's 'The White Woman On The Green Bicycle':

If you haven't already read it, Stephen Fisher's Sword Beach is a recently written fabulous read.

Also, for spy interest: To Catch a Spy: How the Spycatcher Affair Brought MI5 in from the Cold by Tim Tate was a real eyeopener.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
