A mixed bag, I thought.
Fairly decent footballing contributions, but a lot of very poorly-judged views which seemed about fifty years out of date. Couldn't work out whether he honestly held such views, or just flung them out in order to try and provoke discord. |  |

He’s a really layered onion.
I disagree with a lot of his views, but he was incredibly kind to me during a really bad period of depression and reached out.

Bit odd to describe what happened as us butting heads. You probably didn't see it, but what he said crossed a line. I didn't report it to be fair, but I imagine someone else would have or if Phil or Gav saw it they probably wouldn't have been very impressed.
I imagine that was the straw that broke the camel's back though. He'd been rather unpleasant to other posters for no good reason as well lately and he seemed to have generally become very bitter. Shame as I used to quite like him in the hamper buying days. |  |

I used to quite liked Texters as he seemed a decent person. But he gradually became quite nasty and vindictive. I don’t know the bloke at all, maybe there’s things happening in his personal life but he repeatedly acted like a dick.

He changed, there was a clear distinction from posting reasonably to posting sexist, xenophobic and offensive views.
The stuff he was aiming at Herbs was completely unacceptable.

Sounds about right. Although I suspect he now represents the views that a lot of people in the UK do. We’ve become a bitter and twisted little nation. So yes, poorly-judged but worryingly prevalent. |  |
