Whole new team 20:32 - Jun 27 with 1144 views | DavoIPB | Getting a bit ahead here but if we get promoted next year. We would have to have recruited a while new team by the start of the season in the premier. With axel and Delap having gone and likely hutch we do not have any premier league quality players. Maybe O'Shea at a stretch.

Delap, Cajuste, Tuenzabe and Hutch…, literally the best players, and only ones with that level of potential. And that was from a group that gave the worst season in our entire history, and ONE home league win. Yet weirdly there are supporters that find the facts impossible to process…, it makes them feel bad. Maybe if they focussed that energy on Ashton, some agency and accountability for £150 million poorly spent, we’d have a better chance of not repeating the same mistakes. As things stands, the apathy and mistakes on a 35 year loop for Ashton WILL be repeated.

Well I had a Bristol City-supporting mate that told me Ashton would be NATO (No Action, Talk Only) after a certain period of honeymoon with club and supporters. Lest I get attacked for the sin of lese majeste - Let’s see, shall we?

No idea how long you've been supporting Town, but finishing 19th in the prem is nowhere near the worst season in our history!

Depends what era you grew up in I suppose, but technically points and wins wise it is the worst. That said not finishing in top six in League 1 is worse by virtue it's the third tier. Bizarrely I enjoyed the promotion winning season being able to go to places like Bracknell, Forest Green etc. Last season was awful after the initial novelty had worn off. That said there was a time when we were not only top tier but 9 seasons out of 10 were in Europe and won a cup or two. Still hurts to this day how we didn't win the league in the 'treble' season. Of course my guess is many on here weren't around for that so it's all relative.

Whole new team on 08:47 - Jun 28 with 296 views | SheffordBlue | That view assumes that all of the current players have no further development left to go - which I personally don't buy into. Even without any recruitment some of the players who struggled in the Prem last season will have had a further season of technical, physical, tactical development and will be more used to playing together. Even with all of that some of them may not be up to the quality needed in the Prem but quite a few of them will be - and they'll already have a season of Prem experience if/when we go back up.

Are you not confident of the efficacy of your latest recruits or something? You seem to be increasingly worried by Town again. Relax and trust your leaders; it's all you can do until it all falls apart again. [Post edited 28 Jun 8:56]
