True, although I think a number of these moves may be down to geography, believe Probert is along those lines, nearer to family, Rich Carpenter looked similar having come from the Midlands initially and previously worked in Birmingham.

I’m looking at it a bit more with open eyes. We had way too many injuries last year for us to handle. The fitness coaches leaving might be ITFC wants to try to reduce these so feel we need to go in another direction.

Trying to almost single handedly represent the club and run much of it behind the scenes, when said club is on a downward trajectory, is desperate for investment and has a checked out owner who won’t invest more than a fiver. That should do it!

In this instance, not so much difficult geography as people's families being based elsewhere, that sort of thing.

We have failed to get players due to where we are in the past. Andy Carroll was coming here on loan from Newcastle when a youngster until he found out where Ipswich is!

I’ve always thought that’s a strange excuse too. There may not be a motorway or commercial airport in the county, but it’s hardly wick or Penzance. And if you’re a loaded footballer, there are some VERY nice properties around away from the prying eyes of the press. What we don’t have is a trendy night scene on our doorstep, but for professional athletes these days that should be seen as a benefit not a downside. Norwich or London are easy shopping days for the bored WAGs too.
