You managed to list 2. Let's see on Philogene but I expect his value to increase and multiple clubs were after him last season and willing to pay similar so that's the market.
Muric was £8 mil and at the time it looked a good price but it hasnt worked out.
Look at the players who have or look likely to move on:
Delap: doubled what we paid when sold and would have been more
Omari: will get close to double what we paid
Broadhead: despite last year of contract will get triple what we paid.
Al Hamadi: could easily get double what we paid.
Who have we overlayed for this season? Seems like a very good price for Azor. [Post edited 6 Aug 7:37]

So your entire argument falls down then doesn't it which was that our transfer market deals are overpriced.
I see you have moved onto a completely separate (and amusingly countering your own original argument) of "but if we sell them for a profit"...weaken squad why?
We have been relegated. Look how many players relegated teams normally lose. Now look at us. Delap and Omari if he goes are both desperate to play Prem football and should be playing Prem really. Delap had the clause anyway which was required to get him so whilst annoying it was good business. Omari will be a big profit.
To fund more incoming and stay within PSR + balance having a happy squad it's basically necessary. It makes total sense. Total sense and being annoying as a fan to lose good players can coexist. | |
