I'm having kittens watching it.

Also, our midfield needs serious work but we already knew that.

Matusiwa and Taylor don't open up and turn like Morsy could. It brings the rest of the team into it. Without that The only option is pass it back again. We seem to only get it out by getting it to the fullback atm.

Palmer isn't suited to it. Takes too long and then he only has one option which is closed down immediately.

Truly impaired.

We are replacing Morsy and Luongo but not necessarily like for like. Hopefully Cajuste can replace that turn, drive and pass, whereas while Matusiwa has looked a bit ropey on the ball I've been pretty impressed with him defensively

If Palmer was Muric the board would be bursting with criticism. Palmer seems to just be seen as safer, probably because of his start, and clearly Muric turned straight to unsafe very early days.

This. Palmer just isn’t quite up to playing out from the back. Not quick enough with his decision making when ball is on the floor

Palmer frequently looks so surprised when he's given a back pass. We seriously miss Morsy's confidence picking the ball up from the centre backs

It's not just a lack of Morsy but a lack of Woolfenden as well. We don't have that calming presence on the ball at the back. We've arguably improved in the positions in a basic sense, but not with to suit our style of play.

I was high on Palmer initially, probably because of that initial feeling of safety, but the more I see of him the less convinced he is the man for what we're trying to do. He seems to be getting away with his errors. What's Vas up to these days?

Southampton conceded a goal trying to play the ball out from the back. We didn’t.

At times we looked stressed but we were behave with the ball and I thought overall improvement from Birmingham.

If fans hadnt hounded him out we could’ve given Muric a chance at championship level - he won golden glove after all…. He naturally suits playing out from the back. Be careful what you wish for! Palmer got away with it previously as Morsy was always there - today he went into panic mode several times. A good keeper undoubtedly but not one suited to our style of play

Palmer to Taylor was a problem waiting to happen every time.

I can’t see how we persist with it having Palmer in goal. But it was the building block of our success in the promotion season so the only solution is to get in a new keeper.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

It’s not so much about conceding goals from playing out the back. It’s a high risk high reward tactic. It’s about how many goals we scored by using that system with Hladky.

Isn't the 'taking too long' part of the plan? To draw the forwards onto the keeper?
None of us know what instruction he's been given but Walton and Hladky both used to stand on the ball and wait for the striker to approach before playing.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
