Has he lost his mojo. We are predictable and lack winners and characters all over the park. O'Shea has became captain by default because nobody else talks or encourages his fellow players only Chaplin gets close and he doesn't start. I'm not sure I trust McKenna to bring in the players to make a difference. Last seasons recruitment on the whole was poor and after spending a hundred and thirty millon one home win all season was diabolical.
Look at it with rosey coloured glasses first two yrs were absolutely amazing đź‘Ź but the last fourteen months have been poor putting it mildly. The owners can't be to impressed in our free fall I imagine any club would be looking and wondering if their manager had McKennas results. |  | | |  |

Unfortunately he is going to be stubborn and sign players that he knows will listen to him and play the mckenna way much to the detriment of the club going forward . Do I think mckenna will take us up this season ?. Im having my doubts..if he took us up..do i think he will do a lot better than last season..no .!! For those reasons I think a different manager..preferably, continental, with a more refreshing set of style of plat,and a different type of player brought in with more flair and More licence to go forward. We are stuck in a rut now with mckenna..if in nxt 5 games to ten games, we still play the same dross ..he has to go ...end of rant | | | |

Just to confirm, with one of those games to play before the transfer window even shuts, regardless of results, if the style of play doesn't change in 5-10 games you're giving McKenna his P45? | |

HAHA, oh man, I actually do love how often this conversation is reignited.
I rated his natural ability as a footballer, sublime.
I questioned why everyone had such a hard on for him when his actual output was very poor, nowhere near what you'd expect for the star man and one of the highest paid players at the club.
I understand, he played the game beautifully, but yeah, he never recaptured that early form, he was always injured and his open play goalscoring was horrendous all bar a purple patch.
