I'm not condoning any of what he's alleged to have done. It's pretty clear, though, that the same national coverage would not be afforded to the trial of a white British man on similar charges. | |

I think the issue is that these kind of scumbags who harass young girls are ten a penny and while their behaviour as a group is totally unacceptable, this one appears to have gained particular attention due to his immigration status and is being used to justify the kind of xenophobic/racist views that over the last year has spurred multiple riots fulled by the far right. My post above was just me being silly in response to the OP's desperate attempt to create drama.
Of course I understand why we have legal aid. If found guilty, he should be on the first plane back home. A British man, colour not important when people are not trying to create something which isn't there, could obviously not be deported from his country of birth. | |
