The KOA guys were suggesting that Furlong more fits the Tuanzebe profile, allowing him to shuffle across and play as a third centre back when Davis pushes on. He'd fit that better than either Johnson or Clarke.

Clarke hasn't really ever been fancied in his time here, he wasn't especially convincing in L1 IMO, was replaced by Williams / Axel in the Champ and then loaned out last season. I think his days are numbered really, wouldn't expect to see much of him again. |  | | |

Two years ago he started 25 games for a team that was consistently winning. Williams only started 6 games at RB and Axel only won the job for the final 10 games of the season so really for a player 'who wasn't fancied' he played an awful lot of winning football for Mckenna.

I can't help but feel if he was more fancied he would've been more involved than he has been. Since Clarke arrived we've signed Williams, Tuanzebe, Johnson, Godfrey on loan, Young and now Furlong to operate in that role. Injuries obviously haven't helped, I just can't really see him getting much football here.
