Allahu Akbar! on 21:00 - Sep 20 by redrickstuhaart | Whilst it is a concept of god derived from the same earlier myths and legends, it is a very different concept of god really. [Post edited 20 Sep 21:01]

Not sure that’s correct at all. The disagreement is whether God is a trinity or not, Islam is closer to Judaism in many respects and the concept of risalah still recognises Jesus, but as a prophet not the son of God because of Tawhid. I think the Catholic Church has held the position that all Abrahamic faiths all worship the same God, but obviously the details differ and therefore it’s them who are right. So while it makes sense some believers in all three faiths would reject it, it’s not a simple yes/no and on balance the theology indicates it’s the same God and same tradition (look at the parallels between Abraham and Muhammad rejecting polytheism in their respective societies etc)

It is absolutely correct. It is a very different concept of god to the traditional christian one, though born from the same source material. That is not to say that many people attached to those religions would not say it is the same god they are talking about. However, to say its not right that they are very differnet concepts is frankly silly. One god is supposedly (depending on the faction you listen to) wonderful and forgiving, and the other requires adherence to strict rules and the concept of infidels. Theology is not a good basis for any proper analysis. It is inexorably influenced and tied up with existing beliefs rather than independent analysis. [Post edited 20 Sep 21:13]

Probably not worth getting into the finer details here, as interesting as they are. The OP is clearly trolling and as such, it is a pointless discussion Another 20+ pager with pointless bickering is not really palatable given recent post history! [Post edited 20 Sep 21:15]

Yeah, that’s not quite right either. You’re confusing scripture (which overlaps in many places) with the idea of Christianity being uniform. Early Christianity, Eastern Orthodox, inclusivist and exclusivist Christian traditions worship a different god by your logic here too. You can’t post a definitive view on what God is to people and then concede theology is inconsistent either.

Possibly not, but whilst it’s an odd post he’s rattled a couple on the far right of the forum with it. So I expect you’re right.

I can’t imagine why some of the more snowflaky people are getting upset by this 😂. My neighbour, and good friend, says Allahu Akbar everyday. When he sees the sun shining, when he sees his beautiful granddaughters, when he tastes a meal that his wife has prepared for him and even when I told him that I had recovered from a recent illness. As far as I’m aware, he isn’t a terrorist, he doesn’t hate UK and I’m sure he would be very happy for us getting a stroke of luck at Blackburn today. Imagine getting wound up or even angry by that.

You clearly don’t understand, Noggers, my old chum. We may only thank our king and pray for our god’s continued saving of him, thereof, for today’s intervention of a feckin’ timely biblical downpour as we floundered in the Ewood Park puddles…

....you've got me on ignore, remember? Plus you've asked me nicely not to interact with you, remember? Not sure why you are performing like this tonight, particularly after Phil has asked people not to purposely troll the board. But anyway, you won't see this because you're ignoring me obviously. Have a great night mate, hope you have fun!

May I respectfully ask why you chose to post this, especially in light of the fractious political discussions about Palestine and Israel? At best, it was foolish, at worst, its trolling.
