Morsy leaving Kuwait SC already…? on 11:57 - Sep 23 by Trequartista | If that was true I would consider not supporting ITFC anymore if its become indoctrinated by the woke left, but I doubt it is true, I thought he wanted a 2 year deal and we only offered one. |
I suspect (guess) that if there's any truth to a political/ideological issue between Morsy and the ITFC owners, it's a Palestine-Israel thing rather than some ill defined yet infuriatingy polarising and diverting (and therefore successful) "woke left" thing.

Morsy leaving Kuwait SC already…? on 10:11 - Sep 23 by Stenvict | I noticed on Instagram, the official club account rarely tagged Morsy in pictures he was in, presumably to avoid people seeing his Instagram stories regarding the war in Gaza. |
Don’t tell me we have a load of MAGA types in our USA ownership !

I was responding to the assertion "stance on rainbow laces is problematic", so I was giving my opinion if it were to do with that irrespective of Palestine. So if it was to do with the ownership being American and perhaps therefore pro-Israel, then yes of course, nothing to do with woke politics.

"Woke left" triggers me, because there's nothing left wing about the vast majority of what people seem to call leftist or woke or whatever it is these days. To me it's a blatant and enervating narrative to conflate things that concern us masses and divert attention from the Man and his corporate coercion whilst dividing us so we can be controlled. My paranoia turned out to be well founded, imvho :) Not gonna get into a dingdong about the laces one way or the other Trequers. Indeed, there's a reason I've generally set the board to Football Only ever since it's been an option.

Anywhere. May possibly be a window open still somewhere, so could potentially move there, I would guess, but would be somewhere obscure probably.

You can't exactly have a rebuild/reset, put together a new leadership team and and then bring back the hugely influential double promotion winning captain - even to train with us I would say. Massively undermines O'Shea for a start. [Post edited 23 Sep 13:24]

If it was the Morsy of two+ years ago sure. His time at this level is done. Could be useful for a club at the lower end of the table though.

I don't think so. O'Shea is captain. Morsy would likely be a back up but a hell of a back up. Can see a top six Championship side jumping at the chance to sign him.

yeah i'm sorry about that, my intention is not to trigger people, it's just i am left-leaning, and the behaviour, rather than the actual political views, of a significant section of society, is something i want nothing to do with, so i need a different label, and i tried radical leftists and people said trump uses that, so i switched back to woke left. appreciate the majority of the board (of which a plurality now support the green party in a recent poll) don't even agree there is any such thing, but i do and i feel i should be allowed to express it where i think appropriate. Morsy leaving Kuwait SC already…? on 13:01 - Sep 23 by Trequartista | No fair enough, I respect your opinion, and I already know from your posting history you would strongly disagree with me on my conclusions if it were true. I felt I needed to express how I would feel if it were true, and it wasn't meant as a provocation, so i thank you for not pursuing that potential confrontation, in light of the recent fractious board. Although our general outlooks differ, I'd broadly agree with you regarding your sentiments about the club potentially seeking to police what players say/believe. Some of the reactions to players speaking out on Gaza have been very worrying, and I'd be equally concerned if a club was pushing players out for voicing beliefs, whether I agree with them or not.

I think it's pretty certain that he asked for one. But why would/should the club give him an extra year? Whatever transpired, it was clear this year would all but certainly be his last at the club.

Morsy will always be the de-facto captain for a number of that squad and the fans if he is in the building.

Really think you're overthinking this. It isn't Game of Thrones. Many cubs have a club captain and an on the pitch captain.

Windows still open according to one site (may benefit from fact-checking): Hong Kong Premier League UAE Pro League Iraq Stars League Libyan Premier League All of which may compare favourably with the Kuwait PL from a quality perspective! Bide one's time though and in just 83 days the Cambodian market opens, which I hope he's aware of.

Good work! His agent may be making similar checks. Only thing with that would be he couldn't then move to a club over here in January due to the three-club rule.

I'm sure he wanted one and the lack of an offer probably made his mind up on the move, whether to Kuwait or to Derby or any other interested club. Whether there was a fallout as such, I don't know.
