Blackburn manager reckons he didn’t agree to the game getting abandoned… on 19:33 - Sep 23 with 1795 views | SitfcB | The ‘debate’ about what is going to happen is so boring by the way. It really needs to be more black and white - although to me it’s pretty clear the game should get replayed due to past instances and the literal rules. Clearly it’s not quite that obvious seeing as the EFL are taking their bloody time.

The only thing that I wondered might count against us was the fact we were down to 10 men. But that would point to playing the last 10/15 minutes rather awarding the game to them. [Post edited 23 Sep 19:36]

I wouldn't pay any attention to the time it is taking. Procedures have to be followed. I'm sure they will announce the replay soon.

Blackburn manager reckons he didn’t agree to the game getting abandoned… on 19:41 - Sep 23 by J2BLUE | Getting tired of people connected to Blackburn making out it was an amazing dominant performance and completely ignoring that they were 1-0 up against ten men because of the pitch. It was unplayable. The penalty incident just showed how ridiculous it was. I'd like to see someone ask them if they think Greaves makes that 'challenge' in normal conditions. With that said, if it was the other way around our fans would be going nuts |
…and if it were the other way round their fans would be going nuts calling for a replay. That’s football. On the contrary I think I may have been a bit annoyed at the time however by now I’d have probably said a replay would be fair and be confident of beating them ‘again’ anyway.

This. There’s no reason to rush. It’s no emergency. It’s probably some boring administrative delay, like ‘booking’ the cops in for the new date or something.

That's what it comes down to, really. Blackburn don't think they could beat us under normal circumstances. Having been handed an advantage through a couple of mistakes by our players (doubt they were going to score otherwise), they desperately don't want to let that go.

My mind keeps coming back to that, even with the pitch being a complete mess we were still causing them issues.

Not sure having a pop at the referee and questioning his version of events is the most sensible approach at this point in time.

We're not going to the extent of saying the conditions played a part in the red, are we?

According to many of their fans, they were brilliant and played really well. If that's the case, confident on the replay
