The aggregate score for games in the last 6 years is 5-4 to us.

We are untouchable.

I do wish all this garbage about 16 years was dropped. We have been in League One for 3 Seasons and the Premier League for 1 season.
They have been in the Premier League 3 times.
So that takes it down to 9 seasons.
We also had Marcus Evans as the owner for 13 years. In that time we had 8 managers and 3 caretaker managers, although Jim Magilton was manager when Evans took over.
We were never going anywhere under Evans, after the initial few seasons he totally lost interest. We were promised money for players, only to sell and buy in cheap replacements and many that came to PR were only interested in topping up their pensions or outside pursuits like gambling or wrestling.
Hence why KM and ME are a bit more cautious on who comes in.
Of course no manager will ever get 100% of the players he brings in right as we have seen. But some such as Philogene have proved us wrong and all praise to him.

You may, perhaps, note that the post you're responding to is very much mocking their obsession with the 16 years thing rather than endorsing it.

To be fair to them they've literally had nothing else to cling to. Its not like they can talk about history or trophies is it? I remember when it became about attendances for a bit, but since attendance FC disbanded they've had to cling on to the derby 'dominance' thing that's seen them beat us once in the past 7 years. I guess by their standards that's good though.

I sort of want them to win EFL Pie of the Year or something, they need something. Anything.

They did have an incredible run of success between 1978 and '81, with one title and two runners-up finishes...

And what are they going to sing about. 16 years has literally been the only song they have been singing. Their ground was quiet enough before, but without this its going to be awful

It helps me to get my bowels moving in the morning to have a nice cup of coffee and a peek at the OinkUn.

This morning they are pumping themselves up with:

The last time Ipswich Town kept a clean sheet in an East Anglian derby was on February 5, 2006, in a 0-0 draw away at Carrow Road.

I kid you not.

19 years. The shame. Oh the shame! That's taken the gloss off being what I had thought was by far and away the biggest and best and most famous football club in East Anglia and the only one to have ever won anything.

I watched the whole game again last night. I swear we played better on the re-run than when live.

Using Norwich logic, they haven't beaten us for 18 months, or a year and a half, or 549 days.

EDIT: Since Rishi Sunak was PM!

Equivalent to 12.5 terms for Liz Truss as PM. Incredible!

That's the effect nerves have when it's in real time. When you can relax because you know the outcome, you start to appreciate the little touches and skills on display.
