You're not going to attempt to understand the bravery of the victims who despite their horrific experiences have nevertheless been prepared to stand up & fight against the might of a British institution & other extremely powerful people then?

And it's not just "an accusation"' it's the suicide of a jailed main perpetrator, the conviction of his right hand woman who's still serving her sentence; plus the witness testimony of several victims.

Though the job was spreading chaff to confuse radar, not getting the anti-shipping missile to chase the helicopter, as such (it's looking for a large target).

Brave, yes. And, from what I've been told, a competent naval officer. But that doesn't give licence for everything else later in life. Indeed, should be setting an example.

i'm not sure he would have had a distinguished career long-term. he was always a playboy, obsessed with the trappings of extreme wealth, and, even by the standards of the royal family, not the brightest. the armed services are a serious place and no one could accuse andrew of being serious. he was always doomed to have no purpose and to fill his time with baubles and obscenely rich 'mates'. meeting epstein made his innate pointlessness a 100 times worse.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

yes the 'business ambassador' was asking for trouble. it seems to have just been a way of giving him access to cash. but i don't believe he could have risen very far in the navy - unless it was an invented ceremonial role. he was already using their kit to go golfing - he clearly lacks integrity and it would have all just ended in tears.
