This is a big part of the problem. The skillset to get promoted by getting results consistently against Championship sides is quite different to that required to compete in the Premier League where much less is allowed to go (although there is still a high level of physicality). |  |

First half they were shocking as the manager’s peeing about changing formation and it doesn’t suit them. As odd as it sounds they were looking better in the second until the game went from them. Individually though we were stronger to a man.
It also didn’t help the game that the ref was waving his cards around like confetti. Both teams suffered from that. On Tuesday we had a ref who gave nothing, this afternoon one who gave a free kick every time a player fell over asking for one. That must be so frustrating for the players. |  |

It was watching Swansea in the McCarthy years that made me realise how far we had fallen. Can't remember the year, I think they got promoted, but they came to PR and won comfortably and completely outplayed us. We did nothing. Came out of the ground thinking what a pleasure they were to watch, before checking myself and recalling who I supported and how shlte we had been, basically complete dross and a bunch of hoofball thugs. |  |
