| Manning sacked on 07:37 - Nov 9 with 727 views | franz_tyson | I genuinely thought that Manning was a real coup for Norwich. PO's with BC.... that can't be sniffed at. Norwich really thought they had peeled away a top, young manager from a Championship PO club. Added to the fact they won the transfer window ( according to TNC and Benjamin Bloom) they really thought they were top contenders ( promotion, that is). Wonderful fall from entitled grace. I hope Knapper's still there to make the next appointment. Blew over 50 million and sacked both his own appointments, yet sacked the manager he didn't appoint who got them into the POs. Knapper's the real star, for me. | | | |

| Manning sacked on 19:41 - Nov 8 by blueoutlook | I worry they could get someone like Carrick then they may well be a different proposition after some signings in January. |
Surely McKenna woudl pick up the phone and call his mate to advise him that going there could be a career ending move!
| Manning sacked on 09:18 - Nov 9 with 560 views | BlueOura | Please let it be Martin. Watching that arrogant pr!ck take them down trying to play total football would be a joy to behold! | | | |
| Manning sacked on 10:08 - Nov 9 with 493 views | Devereuxxx | I really hope they go with Martin. Mostly as he's probably the worst possible choice at the moment; won't fix the defence, team won't be able to play his dogmatic style, and he's hardly the character to fix a toxic atmosphere. Fuel on the fire. There are other options they'll probably explore, like Carrick and Gary O'Neil, or some actually interesting but difficult to attract options like Carsley, but Martin is right up there for the funniest appointment. | | | |

Yes I really hope not, although he turned Wolves down. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We thought that of Manning though. Actually, he did do a cracking job there, didn't he!

| Manning sacked on 10:57 - Nov 9 with 405 views | Pinewoodblue | Some suggestions from 442 Gary O’Neil — The former Bournemouth and Wolves head coach is widely reported as the front-runner for the job. Russell Martin — A former Norwich player who has managerial experience and is considered a natural fit given his history with the club. Steve Cooper — Known for his work with young players and successful Championship campaigns; his name has emerged on Norwich’s shortlist. Christian Titz — The German coach currently at 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC Magdeburg has attracted interest from Championship clubs including Norwich. Michael Carrick — Though his recent stint at Middlesbrough didn’t go perfectly, he remains on the radar for the job thanks to his experience and profile. | |

| Manning sacked on 11:57 - Nov 9 with 310 views | MrPotatoHead | Whoever they get I think the problems run deeper. Manning hasn’t become a bad manager overnight and although it went down terribly I think his comment about changing the manager not making much difference could well be true. You need good players, I don’t think they’re anywhere near as good as they thing they are. Norwich’s true position isn’t anything more than lower mid table. | | | |

The problem with selling your best players and looking to replace them is eventually your luck is going to run out, especially with a diminishing budget They have sold Sainz, Rowe, Nunez and could quite easily have sold Sargent too They have rolled the dice on young overseas players coming in and being stars but they often take a season to really adapt before they see their best I actually think Manning has set them up alright defensively but they look pretty rudderless going forward with no real patterns of attack

Maybe he could bring in Francisco Arce as his number two? They would go well together.

Personally I think that Stefan Kuntz is a perfect match for Norwich.
