That won't do for all those who made their minds up before he kicked a ball for us.

It's not like we've a recent history of players taking time to settle and play well regularly at Ipswich.....

You can't have watched much football if you judge a player after a handful of games

Presumably you thought Jaden and J Clarke were useless when they joined.

My mate wrote John Wark off after a couple of games, reckoned he was 'a bit crap and will be lucky to play much for us'

Agreed and if people were gunning for our strikers they'd have blamed them for not making the right moves to get onto the balls he put into the box on Saturday rather than his delivery!

I remember having an all knowing sanctimonious chat with a mate after a game about how average Tyrone Mings looked and how he needed to be loaned out to the lower leagues for a bit to see if he could cut it.

Whatever happened to him, hey.

Indeed. Someone I knew was always banging on about how John Wark 'never bends his knees'. Amazing how well he did with that major muscular-skeletal impediment!

Nothing will come close to Keiffer Moores debut. To a man everyone thought he was useless. Fast forward...

There is, perhaps, a little duality permissible...

Samatha has to go now to take her Alsatian to the park, where it chases a ball for five minutes then runs back to her and licks her face and pants.

To be fair John Wark started his first games as a centre back, unless my memory is screwed up so would have been covering Beattie or Hunter, tough acts to follow for a young guy coming through.

You are correct at Leicester against Leeds in the Cup. Apparently Allan Clarke did his usual and Allan Hunter became involved, end of story.

Indeed. Could/should have had one maybe two assists Saturday. Best game for us so far.

nope, both were exemplary in the champ, so no thought they were useless, maybe not good enough for the prem, that would be it. however form is temporary, so sensible decision buying them, given it was highly likely we would end up in the champ. McAteer has been shit in whatever league his played, hence why their fans were laughing when we signed him.

It was noticeable that the "Town in 5" video for Swansea showed three occasions early in the game where McAteer put in decent enough crosses only for whoever was in the middle to not get on the end of them.

Almost like someone was trying to make a point.
