Walton was superb and he was the one who laid the groundwork - kept us in it first half. Hate to think what the atmosphere would have been like if we'd gone in behind at half time.

| Walton, Kipre, Nunez, Davis on 18:29 - Dec 6 with 1215 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Davis has an incredible engine but he’s still not got that understanding with Philogene in terms of the final ball sometimes and there’s no doubt they sometimes occupy the same space. However, he can get back in seconds for a recovery, very important player for us still. Philogene was immense off the ball today as well, fair play to the lad. [Post edited 6 Dec 2025 18:30]

I think the understanding is there often but they're two players who each other are top quality and they play such an intricate game between themselves because of that that it goes wrong sometimes. Which is fine.

And to the home fans, sounded like a full house 👍 TownTV audio comms said at one point “well done the crowd, who won that free kick - the ref was going to ignore it till they ‘spoke’”.

I was very impressed with Philogene. He did not have his best game going forward but when under the kosh like we were for most of the 1st half he really got stuck in defensively where so many similar players to him would have gone missing.
| Walton, Kipre, Nunez, Davis on 16:30 - Dec 7 with 727 views | ZapatasMoustache | Walton was brilliant (daft handball and yellow aside). Kipre was my MOM, absolutely rock solid, unflappable and again one of our better progressive movers of the ball. Nunez had a couple of wonderful moments but was too absent for large parts of the game. Davis, no, I didn't think he had a great game. We weren't brilliant, but once we scored we were pretty relentless and that gives me a lot of hope for the rest of the season. I'm still waiting for the control and passing to come up to a level where we can compete week in and week out, but maybe that's confidence? | | | |
