Anyone here catch Rival Sons at the Ipswich Corn Exchange earlier in the year? I've seen them well over 40 times and thought that gig was one of their finest, so I was wondering what others thought.

| What was the last gig you went to on 12:31 - Dec 9 by soupytwist | The BBC Symphony Orchestra performing Stravinsky's The Song of the Nightingale, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor (Augustin Hadelich violin soloist), Anthony Davis' Tales (Tails) of the Signifying Monkey and R. Strauss's Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms series. Overdue something to be honest. |
I am currently completely obsessed with Igor. That evening sounds fantastic. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| What was the last gig you went to on 18:06 - Dec 9 by GlasgowBlue | Edit. I just realised we saw Sam Ryder at King Tut's Wah Wah House two days after Adam Ant. Dragged by the Mrs but he was really good. Other gigs this year: Paul Weller, Manic Street Preachers, Oasis and Odyssey |
Was that place originally known as king tut’s wah wah “HUT” ? I remember my friends band wanted to play there in the early 90’s simply because of the name even though it was Glasgow (basically another planet in those days). I think being a George Harrison fan it also tickled my fancy him being partial to a bit of wah wah.

I was double booked for that gig but looking forward to seeing them this weekend. Last was Panic Shack at Brixton Electric.

Rite of Spring, first night of Proms at Bertie Hall, 17/07/1981, up in the gods - the roof almost blew off! Very special, one of the most memorable nights of my life.

| What was the last gig you went to on 16:40 - Dec 11 with 32 views | ITFC_Forever | Lucky No 7 at the Duke of York, excellent local covers band. Before that, Levellers at Shepherds Bush O2 Empire. They were playing their Zeitgeist album, which is often overlooked compared to the big one, Levelling the Land. Played pretty much all of Zeitgeist before throwing in a few of the big hits in the second half. Brilliant show as always. | |
