Talking about Luke Hyam I think.

Not much has changed I supposed…

I especially like the last paragraph, KM effectively says the same but in a more polite way

Hold fire this can't be true jasondozzell and other superfans have been saying all season any discord is down to fans who've only jumped onboard since our recent success.

That's misquoting slightly, he said inside the tent pissing out etc. It's a reference to something President Lyndon Johnson said. Was one of his favourite lines, so wouldn't get it wrong!

Yeah not sure where that’s from, probably the Evening Star.

Popped up on my FB memories today, Super Mick’s words still relevant today.

Not really. Most have said it’s worse than it ever was before. There’s always been a few pr1cks, but the frequency and numbers involved now is embarrassing.

It’s far worse now than I’ve ever known it.

For some (ok, a minority), derision and abuse is the default setting. Perhaps they should take a look at how well Sheffield Wednesday are supported and have a look in the mirror.

“Most” = the so called ‘superfans’ reference in the post. Pretty self explanatory. The accusation was inaccurate, and shouldn’t go without correction.

We don't hand out minutes out of sentiment. He hasn't played much because McKenna has clearly thought we have better options.

I get that but I do think Humphreys is a really good player. If McKenna didn't think he would be back up option to Davis (Young played there instead) or Matusiwa/Taylor/Cajuste (Young played there too didn't he?) then why isn't he out on loan somewhere to improve and develop?

There are no “superfans” referenced in either yours or the OP. Are you just making stuff up again?

Honestly this whole thing about how wonderful people are if they keep saying they’re happy, blaming others, not moaning or whatever is bizarre.

Some of the upvote fishing this weekend has been spectacularly tragic.

Strange one, same as Baggott.

Obviously not good enough, or in fact we have better, at their age they should be starting for a side regularly.

Probably time for them to both move on, I think the club have probably hoped good bids would come in but they haven’t.

read on here that humph himself thinks he can improve more being trained here than elsewhere, supposedly from the horse's mouth, but no idea of the veracity.

reckon he'll have a loan move in january, but one of him or baggott has to stay for the subs rule

That’s a ridiculous comparison though, isn’t it?

Sheff Weds are stranded at the bottom of the table on minus points due to a woeful ownership they’re just glad to finally see the back of.

They’re relegated and it’s not the fault of the players their management have managed to cobble together for an utterly dead season.

There’s absolutely no reason for them get on the backs of their players.

They’re playing league 1 football next season, regardless.

Us away was just one of 20 odd dead games they’ve got to get through.

It’s gallows support.

Conversely, we’ve spent more on players in the last 18 months than we had in the previous hundred odd years of our existence.

The expectations of our fans are, quite understandably, completely different.

If you’re content to give it the Poznan and celebrate what you’ve witnessed since last Xmas, good on you, but I doubt the happy clapper gratitude and postulating we’re seeing from a select troupe of super fans on here will be being reciprocated by KM in the privacy of the dressing room.

It might seem ridiculous to you and you are entitled to your opinion. It doesn’t to me and I’m entitled to mine. It isn’t gallows support. It’s understanding what your football club is and what its value is to you and your fellow supporters. They therefore get behind their team. A percentage of our support doesn’t.

Some might think that money a club spends on a player gives them the right or entitlement to tear into that player or in our case players. To hound them during a game, boo them before a game or jeer when they are subbed. They pay their money so in a sense they are entitled to do as they please. But what does it achieve?

it won’t help the team, the individuals or the people that think that approach is nothing but destructive. But then a lot of blokes in particular get a lot of pleasure from being destructive and negative the whole time. I guess they feel empowered; making a difference; big.

You appear happy to take aim at what you consider to be ‘happy clappers’ and ‘super fans’ , whatever that means. I presume you include me within that group, not that I give a flying f***. It’s an interesting insult towards people that might take a balanced, more analytical view than you. I’ve not seen a single poster on here that isn’t disappointed or felt we’ve under achieved. Not one. Nor ‘gratitude’, beyond the owners placing this club in a far better position on and off the field than it’s been in decades.

I suggest you are entirely wrong if you think that what you deem happy clappers etc haven’t realised everyone from the club cat to McKenna to the owners will not have hoped for better this season on the pitch. What separates what you are describing as ‘super fans’ from what I’ll describe as the ‘nappy boys’ is that the former look at things more broadly and look to the future.

The latter tend to appear after a perceived poor performance only spewing endless negativity with no solutions beyond cowardly verbal abuse, booting out players, endless wanging on about money, the manager you name it while yearning for a past that is just that and not as they paint it.

In my opinion, there is nothing good about that approach. But hey, it’s a free country.
