These head laws were brought in to protect the members of their union, and all the players do is follow managers' cynical instructions to 'manage the game'. THE PFA should be aware that players are damaging the spectacle that provides the wages of all their members, down to level 5 or 6 or whatever it is. |  | | |

I've noticed that these head injuries seldom occur as the defending team start to break forward?
They seem only to happen when the attacking team are throwing in cross after cross and building up a head of steam. The fact that such head knocks seldom happen to an attacking player is also rather odd... | | | |

I don’t know how you route out the cheaters. You can get a bang to the face and it’s painful for a minute and then you’re fine. Maybe harsh penalties where replays show no head contact would be a good start. Retrospectively 1 game bans for cheating (and call it that, not ‘simulation’) might make them think twice. |  |

That’s true enough. It seems like there are examples caught on camera almost every week, yet there’s never any comeback as far as I’m aware. They use video for appeals against cards, so I don’t see why they couldn’t check games for cheats. | |
