The return and goal from young Wes last night had me thinking, my most emotional goals..for me. 1. Magic Jim Bolton. 2.Wark, Highbury 78..on our way to Wembley 3. Sarmiento...Southampton. 4. Burns..Coventry 5. Reuser. Wembley 2000
...do you have any better in your catalogue?

Good post. yes, Magilton. Yes, Reuser. Yes, Sarmiento
Add this lot for me: Jason Dozzell at Millwall (during promotion season?) Emotional in that I won a load of dosh that day as bookied had him at 16s to score first (during the time he was up front) Gavin Johnson at Liverpool in the FA Cup. I just went nuts. First time I actually thought we could actually go up. Dyer in play off semi v Bolton? Last gasp, wasn’t it? I just remember being elated….for a bit. And then didn’t he throw his boots in the crowd?

Paul Power, Villa Park 1981. The most emotional I can ever remember being at a football match, albeit I was still a young kid. Broke my heart, I cried my eyes out.

If we're doing negatives as well, Taylor v West Ham 75 at Stamford Bridge semi final, devastated...another plus for Neil Thompson v Southend.

Villa Park Semi. Coach driver thought the game was at Wembley. Late arriving as a consequence. Dad nearly died in the crush in the tunnel into the stand. Dive that drew a foul against Man City. 0-1. Town down to ten + Beattie with a broken arm playing up front. Whymark brilliant in defence. Coach back ran out of fuel 5 miles from home at 2 am. Not a good day.

Darren Bent's winner against Sheffield United in 2003.
Great answer. Down to ten men, two goals down and the first game played since the passing of Dale Roberts.
Can't disagree with any on this thread actually but may add:
Tommy Smith at Norwich (for about two minutes) Ian Atkins v Oxford 1986 (for about a week) Nathan Broadhead v Port Vale a couple of years ago was one from a pure huge sigh of relief point.

At what point did the driver and/or passengers point out he should have been going to Villa Park rather than London?
I know he didn't technically score it (was it Ullerthorne? Og?) But Bryan Gunns air kick. As a schoolboy town fan growing up in Norwich it meant oh so much playground glee the next week
