A sacking club now seem to be finding out the hard way. Thought their summer business was ok as well. Interesting to remember they were a very established PL club before the relegation in 2023.

New manager bounce has definitely gone flat at Saints.

Their forum is full on demanding Eckert is sacked.

How many managers is that now?

Looks like Southampton’s new manager bounce has bounced down the pan. Often happens.

How have Coventry scored so many goals by Smoresy 4 Jan 13:46
In a curious way I'd rather the January window was cancelled this season. We're mostly clamouring for a striker, no obvious replacement for Nunez or Matusiwa, deepest pockets in the automatic hunt, and yet we have bountiful riches at our disposal when compared with the reserves of Coventry or Boro. The latter doesn't appear to have a fit CB available presently, in addition to no goals in four (cue a comfortable 4-0).

Esse's a name I know to be respected at this level but didn't see much of.

Hmmm

Quite nice that they’re so out of the race now, if we go up it’ll be better for us without recent other PL teams like Southampton and Leicester. Although Sunderland have shone this season.

I wonder if those on here tipping Saints for a top 2 challenge a couple of weeks ago are having a rethink?

Yes. But I'm still tipping us to win the league.

edit. And I'm sticking by my prediction of Sheffield United making the play offs.

That’s quite a sobering stat. Coventry definitely look vulnerable now though.

No just the sense I manifested this scoreline for our rivals, which money can't buy.

Southampton have caved in as soon as the manager was made permanent, remarkable.

My stat was wrong. We're closer to QPR in 11th than we are Coventry in 1st.

Easy. Had McKenna’s over paid players got 8 more points from Millwall, Leicester and Oxford as the supporters were entitled to see from a team costing £250m + luncheon vouchers and quadruple green shield stamps we’d be well clear of Middlesbrough.

Booo. McKenna out, washing machine on for the bed linen.

Sorted.
