How on earth did he save that?

Delicious from Nunez too.

That is save of the season - not sure how that kept out but Azon deffo needs to be calling that witch doctor to excorcise what ever invisible goalkeeper demon that is keeping his shots out

That's a bit harsh! I don't think he did much wrong, it was just a fantastic reaction save.

Excellent early curling shot from Azon and great work rate on 20:34 - Jan 20 with 1610 viewsunstableblue

And just unlucky the keeper pulled out a stunning save

Nonsense. Did everything right. Was behind him, he had to dig it out and get decent contact as quickly as possible.

Harsh. He probably got as much power as possible from the angle it came to him. It's just an unbelievable save.

Ridiculous save. Azon had a really good half, deserved it.

Reminded me of that amazing Palmer save at Villa last season.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I concur. He's been leading the line very well, getting some important touches, headers and tackles in.

He was unlucky with the shot taken from the left edge of the penalty box, and unluckier(?) the the goalie pulling a save out of his bottom.

Happy with his performance (like Saturday) and he deserves a goal.

Vamos Iván!!

The way he wins random headers reminds me of richard naylor. You dont think he has a chance but then comes off with a headed pass to a town player.

That is a very good observation.

Two players who don't just do the standard tussle with the CB as the ball drops and then jump at the 'normal' time (CB wins those 8/10 times), but are prepared to take a step out, watch the CB, and then time the jump to catch the CB out.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

I enjoyed his performance today. Those that compare him to Al-Hamadi are missing some of the off the ball play and supporting roles he occupies. He is much closer to Hirst that Al-Hamadi ever was, and I mean no disrespect to him, he works hard but Azon is far more intelligent and rounded out.

Thought again Hirst did not look at it, banged one straight into touch, and on his heels not expecting the ball to come.

Its funny how split the fan base seems on hirst

Honestly he looks bloody woeful this season imo. If he wasnt part of the promotion side I dont think hed had half the supporters he does.

People saying azon looked like a competiton winner. They're talking about the wrong forward.

I dont know whats happened to hirst but I was reallt looking forward to seeing him this season. Last year despite being prem when he played he looked fit. Strong and fast.

Now hes falling over. Cant battle. Cant trap the ball. Even our first goal on saturday he miscontrolled it and the ball fell kindly behind him into the path of nunez.

Id love to see promo hirst again. Horrid battling forward pushes defenders off the ball. Holds it up and gets the ball spraying around.

He was good when he came on tonight as well. He's not hit his best level consistently this season but he's not been anywhere near as bad as some make out.
