I get not every fan can get to every match but as we are doing better the crowds seem to be lowering which is odd (yes I know away fans had an impact on this) but so many spare seats.
It begs the question would we really fill a 40,000 seater week in, week out? | |

I think there's a world of difference between people buying a season ticket if they had the chance, and people buying a random single, relatively expensive, game ticket on a winter Tuesday evening soon after Christmas that is being shown on tv.
People seem to be trying to find a way to some how knock the support and roll their eyes at ambition when we are flying and most things are going great. Very strange.
As others have said, 1500 more away fans would make it a pretty standard attendance. |  | | |

If I had been going regularly for years and then found myself shut out because I didn’t buy a season ticket in 23/24 (not sure of the last time prior to that season when you’d have needed one to ensure you get a seat for every home game!) I’m not sure I’d be making the effort to go to a Tuesday night game in January that’s live on tv, knowing that I’m very unlikely to get tickets for the crucial games towards the end of the season. Some must have bought tickets for the game but for the crowd to be what it was several thousand season ticket holders didn’t bother. They’d have been there if it was Coventry, Boro or Norwich. They’re the fair weather fans not those who effectively got shut out in the back to back promotion years. | |

That’s disgusting. It’s £23 over here and £6 for U14s. But they are shoite, so maybe we’re better value lol

It's never just 'oh look, some fans didn't turn up on a cold Tuesday evening tv game'. It's 'the club are deluded if they think any more fans are ever going to watch them, and they charge ridiculous prices, and they screwed over fans completely, and our fans are rubbish'. Blimey. Go back what, 5 years max and tell a fan that we'd be moaning about getting 25.5k attendances whilst sitting 2nd after just coming down from the premier League with a squad valued at £100 million plus a new training ground on the way and the best manager we've had in a generation. | | | |

Plus the fact that it’s bleedingly obvious why they want to increase attendance. They’re going to be unrelenting in trying to secure and maintain PL football. We’ve always had room for more in the PL.
Put simply, the plans to increase the stadium capacity match their plans for the club. And that’s before plans for additional revenue from events. | |
