| Trump at Davos 14:16 - Jan 21 with 4765 views | BlueNomad | I’m trying to listen to that clown’s speech but, thinking I couldn’t be shocked any more, I am completely done in. “If it wasn’t for us you’d be speaking German now.” “In the Second World War we defended Greenland and shouldn’t have given it back.” “Canada should be grateful to us. Canada lives because of the United States. You should remember that Mark, the next time you make your statements.” And on and on……. | | | | |

Trump has just launched his Board of Peace at Davos. The initial signatories are like a Marcus Evans transfer window: Sheikh Isa of Bahrain, Morocco’s foreign minister, The president of Argentina, Prime minister of Armenia, President of Azerbaijan, Prime minister of Bulgaria, Prime minister of Hungary, President of Indonesia, Deputy prime minister of Jordan, President of Kosovo, prime minister of Pakistan, President of Paraguay, prime minister of Qatar, foreign affair minister from Saudi Arabia, foreign affairs minister of Turkey, A representative from the UAE, The president of Uzbekistan, Prime minister of Mongolia All the G7 have said no (so far). Unsurprisingly. He then said he was about to solve the war in Ukraine "very soon"

US were in Greenland to stop it being useful to Germany, in the same way UK “invaded “ Iceland. Germany, several times, established weather stations on Greenland coast

| Trump at Davos on 11:36 - Jan 22 by hype313 | Think it's more to do with the fact that Brussels holds trillions of $ in US Bonds and could just junk them. |
This! I heard yesterday that Ireland was the 8th largest holder of US bonds globally which was interesting. If those bonds were dumped the dollar would collapse and plunge the US into deep recession (which it may be heading towards anyway with the AI bubble). The problem is if the dollar failed there will be widespread contagion globally.

As you seem keen to defend Trump against the libs, have a go at defending this. Listen to what he says, don't just read the message, it is actually disgusting. 457 British troops lost their lives in Afghanistan.
Trump avoided military service 5 times.
How dare he question their sacrifice. Farage and all the others still fawning over Trump should be ashamed. — Ed Davey (@eddavey.libdems.org.uk) 2026-01-22T20:00:34.197Z [Post edited 22 Jan 23:07]

An interesting article from the Independent. Says it all really. https://www.independent.co.uk/ And Trump has basically said this man, the others who were injured and those that paid the ultimate sacrifice did nothing. Fanny about in the background. Didn’t exist. Will Sir Kier do anything about it? I doubt it. He wouldn’t dare. Aside from the sacrifice of these people and those that came through unscathed, the British Army medical people did an awful lot to save American lives that won’t be on record. I heard a presentation a few years ago by the commander of the medical facility at Helmand Province. The British and their allies, particularly the Danes who are getting a kicking, from Trump worked seamlessly to save lives. Their creativity literally changed the game on how the seriously injured are treated, military or civilian. The American principle was very much get them back to the medical facility as soon as possible, MASH style. The British annd NATO colleagues approached it differently. They essentially sent the rescue vehicles/helicopters in fully equipped as mini hospitals almost and spent more time stabilising and treating at the scene and on the transport. When survival rates were compared it was found that this method not only saved more lives but also reduced the catastrophic effects of some of those injuries. People who should no longer be with us are. The chap said that while there was no getting away from life changing injuries, it was about giving people the chance of life. Any of you who’ve been at Horseguards / Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday will understand what I’m on about. Trump: just F off with your bile, ignorance, disrespect and rudeness. That goes for his henchmen and any American that chooses to believe and support his bilge.

He's been very open about seeing more of it. His administration is doing an 'audit' of the Smithsonian Museums to remove anything his party don't agree with. They've already removed any mention of his impeachment and he directed them to 'reframe' Slavery as part of the US history to focus on the 'positive' https://www.theguardian.com/us

He is indeed full of shit. His normal tell, is when he says "2 weeks" as the answer to when he will do something. 2 weeks never happens. He said he'd have a plan for US healthcare within 2 weeks in 2017 for example. Last night he said he'd have a plan for Greenland in 2 weeks. He's a fat orange fraud.

Yep, museums are to present his version of history. Bit like the Hitler did in the 1930s with museums, art and of course literature. “It was just the prelude… Where they burn books, they will ultimately burn people too.” - Heinrich Heine (1797-1856) Who is to say where Trump’s censorship and remodelling of America in his image, including his version of history, will end?

No. He still doesn't have a plan. They've extended Obama's policy multiple times. He came in last year and said he had a plan ready and it's still not been seen. He's also running away from the World Health Organisation yesterday leaving a pile of unpaid bills behind. Which is very on brand for him

Yeah, but you mustn't compare them to those people. It's unfair or something... Trump has of course already done his version of burning books by removing certain texts and topics from schools and libraries.
